BoD Evening Thread

On tap for tonight:

WWE Main Event is on the Network tonight at 8pm with Big E taking on Stardust.

The NBA has 11 games on the schedule tonight. At 7pm EST on NBA TV the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the NHL there are also 11 games on the schedule. NBC Sports Network will have the St. Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche starting at 8pm EST.

College Basketball has many games going on tonight. At 7pm EST on ESPN2, Stanford takes on #9 Texas.

And, for a new Evening Thread feature, lets take a look at a relatively unknown great match. Here is Rey Mysterio taking on Juventud Guerrera from 4/21/95 in Mexico’s AAA promotion. Feel free to discuss this match in here as well.

Smackdown airs live tonight on USA at 8pm EST with a main event of Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt and the in-ring return of Roman Reigns. And don’t forget that Main Event airs at 7pm EST on the Network with Erick Rowan vs. Kane and Naomi as a guest of Miz TV.

In the NBA there are six games on the schedule tonight. At 8pm EST on ESPN the Golden State Warriors take on the Memphis Grizzlies. At 10:30pm EST on ESPN the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Sacramento Kings.

The NHL has 11 games tonight. At 8pm EST on the NHL Network the Los Angeles Kings take on the St. Louis Blues.

College Basketball is also on several channels tonight although there are no marquee games on the schedule.

The NBA has 10 games on the schedule. Right now you can catch the Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets on NBA TV.

In the NHL there are 4 games on the schedule with the St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks at 8:00pm EST on NBC Sports.

And a big night in College Hoops as #4 Duke vs. #2 Wisconsin tips off at 9:30pm EST over on ESPN.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Stranger is back to post your evening thread. Here’s what’s going on tonight:

WWE Network has NXT at 9/8c with Finn Balor taking on Tyson Kidd. Supestars follows at 10/9c with The Usos vs. Slater Gator and Jack Swagger vs. Curtis Axel.

NFL Thanksgiving night game has NFC West action with Seattle (7-4) taking on San Francisco (7-4).

Only NHL action tonight is Edmonton at Nashville.

There is also early Black Friday madness, so if you have any stories on that front, please share.

The NBA has 3 games on the schedule tonight with the Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder on NBA TV at 7:00pm EST.

In the NHL there are 6 games on the schedule with the Dallas Stars vs. Chicago Blackhawks at 7:00pm EST on TVA

On the WWE Network at 8:00pm EST you can watch the 1996 WWF Survivor Series on the live stream, with a replay at 11:00pm.

Evening Thread – Friday Edition

Smackdown on SyFy at 8/7c.  Matches scheduled include Divas Halloween Costume Battle Royal; Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler; Ryback vs. Heath Slater; MizTV with Mark Henry as guest; Los Matadores vs. Gold & StarDust; The Great Khali vs. Rusev; and the main event is Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro in a Trick or Street Fight. That’s right! It’s a Very Special WWE Halloween Special, Charlie Brown.

If you’re interested, WWE Network will be airing a special preview of the Brothers of Destruction DVD at 10/9c.

NBA action sees Cavs vs. Bulls at 8/7c on ESPN, and Clippers vs. Lakers at 10:30/9:30c.

Tonight on the WWE Network, NXT is at 9/8c. Schedule for the show:

-Sami Zayn vs. Titus O’Neil

Following NXT will be Superstars at 10/9c. Scheduled matches are Emma vs. Summer Rae and Sin Cara vs. Tyson Kidd.

Baseball is over…..but we have many other sports to choose from. Thursday night NFL action on CBS. NFC South action sees the New Orleans Saints (3-4) taking on the Carolina Panthers (3-4-1).

NBA action: on TNT, the New York Knicks face the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8/7c. Nothing of note is significant about that game….at all. At 10:30/9:30c, TNT will follow that up with Thunder vs. Clippers.

NHL action: 10 games to choose from. All of them interesting, I’m sure.

Evening Thread – Wednesday Edition

TNA IMPACT tonight at 9/8c on Spike. Schedule matches include TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley defending against Bobby Roode, with Kurt Angle as guest referee. The tag team #1 contender tournament continues with the semi-finals. Low-Ki/Samoa Joe vs. MVP/Kenny King and The Hardys vs. EC3 and Tyrus.

World Series Game 7. This is it. This is for all the moolah, and for the trophy that will get dragged behind George Costanza’s car. Giants-Royals. Tim Hudson vs. Jeremy Guthrie. It’s on FOX at 7/6c.

NBA regular season gets into full swing with twelve games. Bulls/Knicks on ESPN at 8/7c and Thunder-Trail Blazers at 10:30/9:30c.

NHL only has two games tonight, Red Wings/Capitals and Predators/Oilers.

TV has all new Arrow on the CW at 8/7c.

It’s ALWAYS interesting in the evening threads.

Evening Thread – Tuesday Edition

WWE Network has Main Event at 8/7c, Monday Night War at 9/8c (focusing on Chris Jericho) and a repeat of the Rivalries debut episode at 10/9.

World Series Game 6 on FOX. Giants lead 3-2 and look to win it all tonight. Schedule starters are Jake Peavy and Yordano Ventura. Will it go to seven?

NBA season opens tonight, right? Anyone?…………….Bueller?

Then there’s the NHL. You will always be #4 in our hearts, hockey.

The Flash is on tonight. I know some of you like that.

WWE Network with NXT at 9/8c. The main event for the show will be Adrian Neville against Titus O’Neil in a non-title match. Then Superstars at 10/9c, featuring Jack Swagger vs. Bo Dallas and Kofi Kingston vs. Tyson Kidd.

Thursday night NFL action has AFC West action San Diego Chargers taking on the Denver Broncos. The Chargers are 5-2 and the Broncos are 5-1. Sounds like a pretty good game. That’s on CBS at 8:25 ET.

There’s NCAA football with #18 E. Carolina at home to Connecticut and Miami (FL) at Virginia Tech.

NHL action, NBA preseason with the regular season opener less than a week away.

Bayless is out, so I guess I’m overseeing the Wednesday/TNA thread also. So here is what is crackin’ tonight:

TNA iMPACT is on Spike at 9/8c. On tap is a contract signing between Bobby Roode and Bobby Lashley; an eight team #1 contender tournament gets underway as well.

WWE Network – Total Divas at 8/7c; back-to-back episodes of Monday Nitro beginning at 9/8c with episodes from 1/22/96 and 1/29/96/

World Series Game 2 between the Giants and Royals, Giants up 1-0. The pitching match will be Jake Peavy and Yordany Ventura.

NHL action, NBA preseason, and TV such as Survivor and Arrow.

You don’t necessarily have to keep it clean (like you would anyway).

WWE Network with Main Event at 8:00 PM ET, followed by an all-new Monday Night War at 9:00 which focuses on the impact of Goldberg.

WWE Network presents Halloween Havoc ’89 at 8:00 ET. The main event for this show was Ric Flair and Sting against Terry Funk and The Great Muta in a Thundercage match. The show stealer on this one was Pillman vs. Luger for the US title. Also includes Steiners vs. Doom, Road Warriors vs. Skyscrapers, Dr. Death and the Midnight Express against the Samoan SWAT Team.
NFL Sunday night football has the Niners in Denver to face the Broncos. That’s at 8:30 ET on NBC.
NHL, NBA preseason, prime time TV has “Treehouse of Horror XXV” on The Simpsons, as well as new Family Guy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

WWE Network has NXT at 9:00 PM ET. Baron Corbin, the Lucha Dragons and Charlotte will all see action. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady face Sylvester LeFort and Marcus Louis, and Sami Zayn will face Tyson Kidd in the main event. That will be followed by Superstars at 10:00. Zack Ryder will face Bo Dallas, and Kofi Kingston takes on Cesaro.

MLB playoffs continue with Game 5 of the NLCS, with the Giants up on the Cardinals 3-1 and looking to clinch a berth in the World Series. The pitching match will be Adam Wainwright and Madison Bumgarner.

NFL Thursday night action sees an AFC rivalry with the NY Jets taking on the Patriots. The Jets are 1-5, the Pats 4-2.

NHL action, NBA preseason, TV. It’s a busy Thursday night and there is never a shortage of topics.
