Evening Thread – Thursday Edition

Tonight, WWE Network brings you Total Divas at 8:00 PM, followed by NXT at 9:00. NXT matches schedule include Mojo Rawley vs. Bull Dempsey, Justin Gabriel vs. Tyler Breeze, Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss and Sin Cara & Kalisto defend their NXT Tag Team Championship against the former champs, The Ascension.

MLB action: all the races are pretty much sewn up, save for a few official clinches. We know who is in, so a lot of teams are in cruise control. The highlight might be Derek Jeter’s last home game on home turf.

Thursday night football: the New York Giants tackle the Washington Redskins. NCAA action will have Texas Tech at Oklahoma State and UCLA at Arizona State.

Of course, you’re free to discuss any non-sports matters as well.

Evening Thread – Tuesday Edition

Tonight, on WWE Network: it’s a live Main Event beginning at 8:00 PM ET, followed by a new episode of Monday Night War at 9:00 , focusing on ECW’s impact on the WWF/WCW ratings battle; then at 10:00, it’s an all-new Countdown, featuring the top ten greatest high flyers.

MLB winds down it’s final week of the regular schedule. It’s still a tight race in the AL Central as the Tigers hold a one game lead over the Royals. Detroit draws the White Sox at home, while the Royals hit Cleveland.

The fall TV schedule is starting to swing, so if you stumble upon any cool new shows, you can bring them up in this thread.

Evening Thread – Thursday Edition

Tonight, on the WWE Network, it’s Total Divas at 8:00 PM ET, followed by NXT at 9:00 and Superstars at 10:00. On NXT, KENTA makes his Hideo Itami in-ring debut against Justin Gabriel, and your main event will be Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville against Tyson Kidd and Titus O’Neil. Superstars will have Los Matadores against Harper & Rowan, and Sin Cara taking on Justin Gabriel.

In MLB, the AL East and West are over as the Orioles and Angels clinch their respective divisions and look toward the playoffs. Not much AL Central action tonight, but the Brewers and Cardinals go at it in a key NL Central match-up. The NL East is also wrapped up with the Nationals moving on to October. The Dodgers face the Cubs in their quest for the NL West title.
NFL Thursday night football has Tampa Bay in Atlanta. In NCAA action, two ranked teams go at it with Auburn facing Kansas State.
It’s wide open for discussion, TONIGHT…….in the BoD.

Evening Thread – Tuesday Edition

It’s Tuesday night, so that means wide open discussion for everybody.

Tonight, the WWE Network runs Main Event live at 8:00 PM ET, followed by an all new Monday Night War at 9:00, which focuses on the effect the Montreal Screwjob had on the war; then at 10:00, an all-new Countdown featuring the top ten Royal Rumble moments. Should be somewhat interesting, but my best guess is John Cena’s surprise appearance at the 2008 version.

The MLB pennant races heat up, with the AL Central the closest race at this time. The wild card races are also still pretty tight, with a 2 game difference in the NL wild card.

Evening Thread – Sunday Edition

Tonight, on the WWE Network, at 8:00 ET it’s Main Event live, then at 9:00 it’s an all-new episode of Monday Night War, followed by an all-new Countdown at 10:00, as they discuss the top ten GM’s of all time. The GM role was introduced in 2002 with the brand split and the role has reared it’s ugly head in various forms and personalities. In my humble opinion, Eric Bischoff or Teddy Long should be #1.

Well, that daytime thread certainly escalated quickly. Perhaps we can reach some decorum this evening.

Tonight, the WWE Network is featuring Night of Champions 2011 on the live stream, which some of us will be watching. That begins at 8:00 ET.

There’s a couple of college football games on, if you’re so inclined. The SEC Network is carrying Utah State-Tennessee, and Fox Sports 1 has SMU-Baylor.

ESPN2’s Sunday night game is Cleveland-Kansas City, as the Royals try to keep ahead of the Tigers in the AL Central.

Big Brother, NASCAR, The Simpsons marathon continues, etc. It’s not like there’s nothing on. Just come on in and hang out. We have psychiatrists waiting to hear from you.

Evening Thread – Benoi—-uhh, Thursday Edition

An all-purpose thread for your all-purpose needs. If you happen to watch the Network tonight, you have Total Divas at 8:00 ET, NXT at 9:00 and Superstars at 10:00.

The Simpsons marathon is still on, but people stopped caring a week ago when the funny ones ended.
Preseason football continues, and college football opens up the schedule tonight.

Evening Thread – Tuesday Edition

Tonight, on the WWE Network, at 8:00 ET it’s Main Event live, followed by a new episode of Monday Night War at 9:00 and a repeat Countdown episode at 10:00.

Some key MLB games tonight: Tampa Bay @ Baltimore, Oakland @ Houston, Miami @ LA Angels, NY Yankees @ Detroit, Washington @ Philadelphia, St. Louis @ Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee @ San Diego.

The Simpsons marathon continues on FXX. I believe it’s up to season 12 at this point.

There’s money on the table here tonight, but it looks like e-book money, so it’s not real currency.

Evening Thread – Sunday Edition

Tonight, on the WWE Network, Main Event Live at 8:00 ET, then followed by a Wrestlemania Rewind repeat of Hogan-Andre from Wrestlemania III at 9:00 then a Countdown repeat at 10:00, featuring the top ten biggest blunders.

MLB action continues. You still have the rest of August and all of September to go before you get to October playoff action. A lot of teams just playing out the string. Contender games tonight include Angels-Red Sox, Tigers-Rays, Braves-Pirates, Orioles-White Sox, Mets-A’s, Blue Jays-Brewers and Reds-Cardinals.

The table with the money left on it awaits you. My advice: Let it play out and see where it goes.

Evening Thread – Wednesday Edition

Tonight, on WWE Network: At 8:00 ET it’s Best of RAW from 6/7/10 featuring the memorable debut of The Nexus. Then at 10:30 it’s the Video Vault which spotlights the ladder match from SummerSlam 95 between HBK and Razor Ramon, which is already available in the library as part of the PPV. Video Vault could be much more than what they’re currently doing with it.

Also, MLB action, preseason football with Niners-Ravens, and whatever else you want to bring to the table, where surely someone will leave it and let it play out.

Evening Thread – Sunday Edition

MLB action as well: Tigers-Yankees, Oriole-Blue Jays, the Battle of Ohio between the Indians and Reds, and the battle of LA continues between the Angels and Dodgers.

Bring whatever you got to the table, just don’t leave it there.
