We are a day after Survivor Series and what I thought was a pretty fun card with three excellent matches. Watching Roman-Drew a second time and I wonder if they gave that away too early. They could always run it back at Wrestlemania if other main event options don’t work out, but…it just felt like an epic clash that could’ve waited a little longer.

RAW is Live tonight and I am not sure how many more they have in Orlando before moving to a far better part of the state in St. Petersburg. With the word that they might have fans at the Royal Rumble I am going to try to get tickets since I love the Rumble.

Not much announced for tonight.

Bucs-Rams is YOUR Monday Night Game. I will be in attendance. Look for me in the Jalen Ramsey road jersey (he’s such a diva, I love him).

And check out this golden memory and some amazing canned crowd heat.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Things are getting pretty hairy out there with this virus so please be careful.

RAW is somewhat of a stacked show tonight. McIntyre vs. Orton in a WWE title rematch and New Day vs. Hurt Business for the tag titles. I think there’s a six-man match in there as well.

More fallout from the Vega firing. WWE confirms that she wanted to get Twitch-ing, they asked her to stop, she wanted to keep it going. They fired her. It happens. But hey The Bennetts and Ryback have her back so she’s good right?

The more interesting part would be if the SAG gets involved, because they can’t just pick and choose who to target, such a situation would have to cover all wrestling that appears on TV I believe. So yeah that’s AEW, ROH, Impact, etc., if my understanding is correct.

Anyway enough of that. Vikings vs. Bears is YOUR Monday Night game.

Don’t put Stone Cold at the back of the plane.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I am somewhere in between happy, relieved and exhilarated. Then Alex Trebek died the next day and we all remembered that this is 2020.

RAW is on tonight. I think it’s all a build to the Survivor Series I couldn’t tell you who’s where. I just generally avoid the show because it’s not very fun to watch. There are a couple of reviews of Full Gear from the weekend. I’ll find someplace to watch the FTR/Bucks match I suppose.

Speaking of not being fun to watch, The Jets and Patriots are in the Monday Night Game.

The day before the day of reckoning is here so we might as well watch some sports or sports entertainment. Couldn’t really tell you what’s on RAW because they are probably still writing it as I type. One thing was announced and it’s a something-on-a-pole match between Jeff Hardy and Elias.

Bucs-Giants is your horrible Monday Night game.

Last week was a good week for wrestling fans. Hell in the Cell had at least two very good matches. Halloween Havoc was damn good. Dynamite apparently had an amazing main event match. The WALTER-Dragunov match was tremendous. That’s a lot of good stuff in a five day span.

Taking a break from Piper-Hogan superfriends promos to put up a hilarious Sid video. As you can see this guy is not cooperating with the Skyscrapers…I’ll assume he was victim of a rib and was not intentionally showing them up. Either way it’s funny to watch Danny Spivey start hitting the guy with real potatoes while Sid is still throwing worked punches. God bless Sid. He is a one of a kind.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Hell in the Cell was last night. I thought two of the matches were awesome and the rest was what it was. A Randy Orton title reign (with 15-minute weekly promos to come) is about as exciting as iceberg lettuce, but what can you do?

To make things even more exciting the Miz is the briefcase holder. FWIW I don’t think he’s getting a singles run out of it. I think he will use it on the tag titles. Just a feeling.

Not sure about RAW tonight. I’m sure they are still re-writing it. I wish they would bring in Triple H for help again because he did a good job on Smackdown.

Bears-Rams is YOUR Monday Night game. The World Series is off with Game 6 between America’s team, those lovable, scrappy, underdog Tampa Bay Rays and the Dodgers. I liked the Dodgers so much more when they were in Brooklyn.

Bye to Hogan-Piper superfriends (or the Piperpowers as someone on the Friday Night thread called them). This might be my favorite promo of the bunch and it is barely a minute.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and all that.

We’ve got all kinds of stuff happening tonight. It’s the “season premiere” of RAW, which is a lot like the previous episode of RAW last week. Most of Smackdown’s babyface mid-card jumped ship in the Draft so we will get some new faces. Plus Mustafa Ali is going to make his statement.

There is NFL on right now as the Chiefs are ahead of the Bills. The Cowboys and Cardinals play in the traditional Monday Night Game.

Dancing With the Stars is also tonight I think.

The World Series featuring those lovable, scrappy, underdog Tampa Bay Rays against the money machine Los Angeles Dodgers starts tomorrow.

And here’s more from the Hogan-Piper superfriends series with another 1992 promo.

Hello Blog O’Doomers!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! and Happy America Bank Holiday! I hope all have had a good day and done something productive.

Big night for TV watchers. We got the second part of the WWE Draft with a live RAW. Cageside Seats is reporting that Eva Marie might be back tonight…Ok. The notable news from the Smackdown night of the Draft was the split up of New Day. But who knows when these actual roster changes take place.

We’ve also got Game 1 of the NLCS starting in about an hour. The scrappy, underdog, lovable Tampa Bay Rays already took Game 2 from the trash can, cheatin’, cryin’ Astros in the ALCS.

Also there’s a Monday Night game on I think. Chargers vs. Saints?? There were supposed to be two, but now there’s one and one on Tuesday and the one that was supposed to be on Monday is now moved to Sunday. CoVID-19 is making scheduling games entertaining if nothing else.

Oh yeah after a short break we continue with the Hogan-Piper super friends series…They had some serious coked up promos in 1992.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. NXT Takeover 31 was last night. You can check out Scott’s and Thomas’ reviews on the site. Both seemed to enjoy the show but the short build kept it from being an historical type show.

RAW is on tonight, There’s a six-man tag with Drew McIntyre and the Street Profits vs. The PuPu Platter of Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler because despite McIntyre beating Orton clean and in a gimmick match he has to continue to face him. Weird.

Bray Wyatt jumps across the street to RAW for a segment with Kevin Owens.

All kinds of competition tonight. Two NFL games. Patriots-Chiefs is current on CBS and Packers-Falcons is on ESPN. Plus the ALDS games are tonight on TBS. The Astros are trying to close out the Athletics right now and then the lovable underdog Tampa Bay Rays take on the free-spending Yankees.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Fall in the air…somewhere…not here, it was in the 90s all weekend. Chill out Florida!

We had a PPV last night. I watched it in pieces. Thomas and Scott both have reviews. Thomas thought it was excellent. Scott thought it was pretty basic until the main event. The general consensus from the board seems to lean more toward Thomas’ opinion.

The Reigns-Jey match was excellent. I thought Jey had done such good work on his end with the program I wanted to see if they could manage to make Reigns look like a monster and still elevate Jey. Mission accomplished. Reigns looked great. Physically he looks imposing. I have always been a fan of him as a worker. I think he has the best worked punch in wrestling and he doesn’t have to do a lot of complicated stuff because his basic stuff looks like it hurts.

Even though his turn took longer than people wanted, I like that he’s not just out there heeling for the sake of heeling and cutting down the fans and doing other rudimentary stuff. There’s real character development and a slower burn to where I think Reigns will ultimately end up. Even in the match he was a different guy as time went on. He got more angry, more aggressive, more vicious. I like that. I like that his anger and aggression is being drawn out of him.

RAW is live tonight maybe? Vince is probably tearing up the show and re-writing it as we speak. Retribution is on a quarantine, but something tells me they might just put other people in some of the gear to keep it going.

Hellacious competition in the sports world. Ravens vs. Chiefs features the last two MVP award winners and two of the most exciting QBs in football. Game 6 of the Stanley Cup is tonight with the Lightning looking to close it out. MLB is on break until the playoffs start tomorrow. NBA is on break until the Finals start Wednesday.

More of Hogan-Piper super friends from 1987. Their match against Orndorff and Kamala in Philadelphia.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a Shanah Tovah to those that celebrated Rosh Hashanah over the weekend.

RAW is on tonight. Are we in the Shane McMahon creative era yet? Is that going to be a thing? If his creative era has kicked off already, I will say that last week’s show had a hell of an ending.

It’s the go home show for Clash of the Champions, so presumably SOMETHING is going to happen to connect the dots to that show.

Plenty of sports otherwise. Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Dallas Stars. The Raiders and Saints will be on several networks with an Monday Night Football megacast. And there is a full night of baseball.

Check out some of the content on the page. Scott is re-doing Saturday Night’s Main Events and there are a few other things. There is a thread on Cobra Kai I haven’t read, but looks interesting. Lots of cartoon stuff as well.

So I was thinking I should include the matches on these Hogan-Piper superfriends promos I have linked. Their first promo was a six-man elimination match at the Boston Garden. And here’s that match:

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was nice and rainy here in West Central Florida, which kept the temperatures from getting ridiculously hot. I’ll take it.

Check out Scott’s rant on Clash X: Texas Shootout, a super fun card despite Sting destroying his knee.

RAW is live tonight and I know they are going to have a Street Profits vs. Artists Collective match, but I’m not sure what else because I’m watching football. Giants vs. Steelers in the early game and Titans-Broncos in the late game. Dallas will try to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup Final tonight when they play Vegas. There is a full slate of baseball as well.

I’m still on my Piper/Hogan Superfriends kick so here’s another ridiculous promo from 1987.

I am doing this a little early today so there might be some news I’m missing out on in regards to RAW tonight. Is this the week Shane McMahon starts as the head of RAW creative? When does he start!!!!

Not a whole lot happened this week outside of AEW having their big blow-off PPV that Matt Hardy almost died for (some workers should just take the WWE comedy gimmicks and enjoy making money in their mid-late 40s). I am definitely going to scour the inter webs for the FTR/Page-Omega match though, because that seemed well-regarded.

Meanwhile Vince released a hoss tag team for whatever reason and then cut off the roster from third-party usage, probably because Lana (a.k.a the escape goat) was using it to do some side dealings and that’s a no-no. Anyway this edict served to confuse workers even more and it seems like most will just charge on using their given names.

We got the start of the Eastern Conference Finals in the NHL today (Go Lightning!!) and two pivotal NBA Playoff games. A full slate of baseball and a college football clash between BYU and Navy. Happy Labo(u)r Day to all. Be kind to each other.

Here’s Piper and Hogan going out of their minds in a 1987 promo. Hot take: Piper/Hogan Megapowers would’ve been just as awesome.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and you are all still being very safe and courteous of those around you.

Scott and Thomas both have Payback reviews up and are worthy of your clicks. I thought the show was good, way better than I expected. Most of the board seemed to feel that way too with the women’s tag and the Rollins/Murphy vs. Mysterios tag gaining high praise. Scott and Thomas really didn’t like the show. I thought at least one of the ratings was downright ridiculous, but whatever, everyone’s got a preference.

RAW is coming back at you tonight with new women’s tag champs and a new U.S. champion. Is this the start of the Shane McMahon creative era? Do we know if that’s really happening?

Anyway got some playoff hockey (Go Lightning!!) and playoff NBA tonight with a slate of baseball.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was probably the biggest wrestling weekend in recent memory with WWE doing an NXT Takeover and Summerslam and AEW running Dynamite on Saturday.

And we got the best result…a lot of good stuff. NXT Takeover got a lot of heat for whatever reason, but it was another outstanding effort even if they couldn’t stick the landing on the main event. AEW Dynamite had a tremendous angle to end their two hour weekly episode and crowned new women tag champions.

Summerslam was definitely better than expected with everyone working hard and putting their best foot forward. Roman Reigns returning at the end provided a very unexpected surprise.

Now we move on. Keith Lee is expected to make his debut on RAW at the Thunderdome tonight. There will probably be a quick setup for Payback. I’m guessing a lot of rematches.

Renee Young (Paquette) wrote a very sweet letter to her “WWE Family” through the Players Tribune.

NHL Eastern and Western Conference second round games continue as the NBA closes out their first round. We got baseball too. Enjoy your evening.

Another weekend by the waste side and it leads us to Monday night. Tonight RAW is actually Live from the Amway Center in Orlando where they will present their “Thunderdome” presentation. I’m sure it’s worth a look.

By all accounts Sonya Deville is fine after the kidnapping attempt. The perpetrator has been caught, arrested and charged. Hopefully he will get the help that he needs while he deals with the legal ramifications of his actions.

WWE Network added 10 more episodes of Superstars.

NHL and NBA Playoffs are continuing through the evening. I have to admit I like the “March Madness” style of just having games all day on top of each other.

The all virtual DNC starts tonight as well.

Sonya Deville escapes kidnapping attempt

Very scary situation for Sonya Deville (real name: Daria Berenato) as a South Carolina man successfully entered her Florida home around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

“The entry triggered an alarm, which led to the homeowner looking out the window and seeing Thomas on the property. The homeowner and a guest fled the house in a car and called 911. Thomas was still inside the residence when officers arrived, per the release. He was carrying a knife, plastic zip ties, duct tape, mace and “other personal items.”

I have no clue about the WWE’s current taping schedule so no idea if RAW is live tonight or not. Mickie James is supposed to return. I guess that’s something. I hope they replay Bianca Belair attacking Zelina Vega at her house while she was doing a Twitch stream with Kayla Braxton. I like that. Whether they green lit that themselves or someone in creative came up with the idea, I like when social media is used like that to further a program.

Anyway the build to Summerslam continues.

NHL is off tonight before official Stanley Cup Playoffs start tomorrow. NBA Bubble action continues through the evening. MLB has a full slate unless you are the St. Louis Cardinals.

Well pretty slow Monday news dump eh? We got a group that includes The Rock purchasing the XFL for about $15 million. Seems like an interesting investment and certainly something they have time to sit on while we live in pandemic world.

And with RAW tonight the WWE announces Shane McMahon is returning to the camera and he’s going to do something or introduce a faction or a concept or something.

AEW Dynamite will be pre-empted a few times over the next two months to make room for the NBA.

Lot of sports tonight. I’m watching the end of the Lightning-Caps right now. Three more games coming up with Vegas-Dallas about to face-off with the Habs-Pens and Blackhawks-Oilers coming up down the evening.

Half the NBA’s daily schedule is done with the big Zion-Ja matchup coming at 6:30, Lakers-Jazz and Spurs-Sixers will close it out.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. The Florida Marlins certainly didn’t. Something tells me this sports thing might not be the smartest move right now. That’s just me.

RAW is on tonight trying to follow up the ratings BOOM from Smackdown on Friday. Yes a show that everyone predicted would be one of the lowest rated ever posted its best numbers in a month. Proof that none of this makes sense.

The Adam Cole-Pat McAfee work got into full-blown work mode today when Triple H joined the show. Last week’s interview wasn’t a bad piece of business, but they have to be careful not to overdo it…and they will likely overdo it.

We got baseball tonight…despite a team in full CoVid outbreak mode and some NBA scrimmages. NHL exhibition games start tomorrow. Who knows if any of this will lead to something.
