Howdy Blog O’Doomers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, a great long holiday weekend in the states and just a normal great weekend for other areas of this big wide world.

RAW tonight should continue with the Seth Rollins heel turn, which got off to a good start last week in my opinion. I know it’s shocking that kind of a whiny hypocritical dude in real life can pull off being a whiny hypocritical character. There is also a Charlotte vs. Kabuki Warriors handicap match advertised and I’m worried about how inept they will make Asuka and Kairi look.

NXT picked up another ratings win, probably because all those young cool TV watches that AEW gets actually decided to hit the bars Wednesday. Make fun of old viewers if you want, but they’re loyal. That’s why Law & Order SVU has been on for 22 seasons.

Seahwawks-Vikings is your EXCELLENT Monday Night Football matchup.

Six NBA, Five NHL, limited slate of men’s college basketball, little more on the women’s side.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. In the states it’s the big prep period for Thanksgiving and the official start of the holiday retail season. Anyone out there going to truck over some old lady to get a big screen TV?

Lots of wrestling this weekend. Saw Takeover, loved it, really loved the women’s War Games match and explained why in a detailed comment on Scott’s Rant. Saw about 70 percent of Survivor Series, it wasn’t bad, was moving well, will try to finish it tomorrow. Saw about half of Austin’s sit down with Undertaker, seemed like it was a good honest conversation.

RAW tonight wraps up this four-day plunge into Chicagoland. Asuka-Charlotte, Styles-Carrillo are two matches announced for tonight.

Damn good Monday night football game with the Ravens traveling to Hollywood to face the Rams. Plenty of NBA and NHL on the docket. I’ll be in my seats at Amalie Arena cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight as they play the Buffalo Sabres.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Isn’t really a whole bunch to talk about outside of CM Punk returning to WWE-related programming. It’s not a total shock if the guy still has an eventual goal of main eventing a Wrestlemania. Whether he returns to the ring eventually (he will) or not, if that’s still a goal it’s one that he wouldn’t be able to accomplish in AEW. So let’s see if he moves the needle.

RAW has the Survivor Series go home tonight. One of the matches advertised is Seth Rollins vs. Andrade, which should be very good if they are given the time. Otherwise be on the lookout for the expected run-ins, brawls and backstage attacks.

Chiefs-Charges from Mexico City is your Monday Night Football game. Tons of basketball, both professional and college.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. It was Remembrance Day in Canada and today is Veteran’s Day in the U.S.A. If anyone on this blog served know that this poster does not take your sacrifice for granted. Whether we agree or disagree on conflicts or other things, I appreciate those that made the decision to wear the uniforms and represent our nations.

And with that being said RAW is live tonight and surely pushing to Survivor Series. There is a very good Monday Night Game on with the Seahawks and 49ers.

We are one day from the start of Disney+.

As for the Full Gear PPV. I liked most of it. If they really believe Page is going to be a star it was a good move to put him over Pac. The Jericho-Cody match could’ve been 15-18 minutes and just as good. The MJF turn was well done, but in now way a surprise.

Moxley-Omega was absolute trash. It should be placed in a landfill. The only good thing about Cody-Jericho going 30 minutes was that it chopped 10 minutes off the crap that followed.

Quick update as a potentially interesting RAW is happening. Not so much because of Brock Lesnar chasing down Rey Rey but because of the fallout from the travel home after Blood Money in the Bank II.

Apparently the NXT kids are there and looking for a fight too.

Giants-Cowboys is YOUR Monday Night Football game.

I’m composing this a little earlier than it will appear so I have no clue what’s happening on RAW tonight outside of the King’s Court segment with Lana/Lashley and Rusev.

Steelers/Dolphins is your awful Monday Night Game.

No World Series tonight, back tomorrow with Game 6.

Series Finale of the Duece tonight. I’ll miss that damn show 🙁

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Finally we’re done with the damn Draft and all the dead time and guys are on the show they are supposed to be on and now we can get on to the final push for the Blood Moneymania III card.

The Jets-Patriots is your Monday Night game. Sadly The Duece is coming to the end, so I’m going to enjoy the final episodes of my favorite show.

Howdy Blog O’Doomers!

Welcome to Monday nights! It was another eventful week of wrestling and there was a lot to consume and talk about. So, for those interested, my quick thoughts:

— NWA Powerrr probably gave me the most joy to watch. Shortly after I watched it I wanted to be the studio for tapings in the near future. I also felt like I got a lot out of as a first-time watcher. The talent that was showcased explained who they were and why they were here. That’s nice to see.

— NXT had the best wrestling top to bottom. AEW was pretty good too. I didn’t like the tag match as much as some because it just felt like moves and more moves with a lot of athleticism and little transitioning or reason. Did like the one guy in Private Party, the one with the blond highlights. He felt like a star to me.

— I already said my piece on the Bayley turn from Smackdown. It was well done and fairly definitive, but it was also the final result of how creative on the main shows truly failed her despite having what should have been a simple transition. It’s a failure on the top management because she should have been a major money and merchant mover. Vince and Dunn’s fixation with Charlotte is probably as much to blame as anything and they don’t understand that female characters can have levels of depth beyond being bitchy and petty.

Anyway that’s that. Tonight RAW will have the rest of the televised draft and maybe FOX’s football robot will return.

Lions-Packers is your Monday Night Game.

Cardinals-Nationals is your MLB playoff game.

The Deuce is my show that I am enjoying immensely.

Wednesday Night War Open Mic

I guess I am in charge of the Wednesday night thread. Someone might want to tell me because they are already getting Monday nights at a good rate.

Anyway NXT vs. AEW Dynamite.

Last week Dynamite won the ratings battle although it seemed that more of you preferred the NXT broadcast slightly. Let’s see what tonight brings.

In other news, the Cardinals are just beating the tar out of the Braves. Dodgers-Nationals Game 5 is tonight.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and most of you are enjoying fall. Fall hasn’t quite hit central Florida yet but we’re hopeful it’ll arrive by November.

RAW tonight is the fallout from the Hell in the Cell show, a show that proves that one really bad segment can ruin a show. You can read either Scott’s or Thomas’ rant and both widely pan the Main Event for being the crap that it was. There were some good things on the card. Sasha-Becky was a good match if not the right result. I thought the tornado tag match was a little underrated. The Kabuki Warriors going evil was awesome with the great visual of Asuka using the green mist to win the titles.

There were some missed opportunities as both Sasha and Bayley jobbed out, thus making their alliance kind of moot. Bayley, in particular, seems like a really lost cause as she sort of went babyface last night for no reason and got her ass kicked for ten minutes before tapping out. It was the sort of treatment I would expect for someone that got popped for a wellness violation.

The main event was a disaster and apparently Vince is taking either the blame or the credit for it depending on where you stand. It made both guys look horrible. It continued to de-value Seth’s de-vauled run. It eliminated the one area where Bray Wyatt’s questionable ring skills could be covered. As the kids say, it was a “f*** finish”.

Moving on. Tonight’s RAW has Tyson Fury, which could be entertaining because he can be pretty witty and funny at times.

Browns-49ers are the Monday Night Game…How many Browns primetime games are we going to have to suffer through? And hopefully the Twins can stretch the Yankees for another game but I doubt it.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. No need to sugarcoat this one, if you’re a wrestling fan (and I’ll assume some of you are), this is arguably going to be the most exciting, fascinating week of programming since the final Nitro and we had that WCW/WWF cross programming that still makes me do a double take to this date.

RAW will have its “season premiere” tonight and it’s a loaded show with it being the start of this particular week AND the go home for Hell in the Cell. Brock Lesnar is going to appear, we’ve got a Rollins vs. Rey title match that should be very good. Sasha vs. Alexa in a Twitter feud blowoff, and of course a new announcing team.

The Monday Night game Steelers vs. Bengals isn’t aesthetically pleasing in any way with two 0-3 teams but the Steelers generally pop a big number.

The other usual assortment of Monday night shows are on as well. I’ll probably DVR the Deuce tonight though.

Happy Monday as we get ready for three nights in a row of WWE programming on USA Network for two more weeks. We’re fast approaching Hell in the Cell so I’m guessing we’ll get more clarification on some matches tonight. Obviously the Rollins-Fiend match appears set but what about the rest of the card?

Washington-Chicago is your Monday Night Game. Ummmm Go Bears?!!?

Lots of important baseball tonight and preseason hockey as well.

Stuff like The Voice and Dancing with the Stars is on tonight but I’ll be watching the final season of The Deuce.

Less said about last night’s snoozer of a PPV the better. Scott’s review is below and I don’t think Thomas Hall did one or if he tried he probably stopped out of boredom.

Super quick build to Hell in a Cell, which is in 20 days, so expect some matches to be booked ASAP.

Jets-Browns is your Monday Night Game. The Jets are missing like half their roster including the young QB Sam Darnold, who is out with mono because he’s apparently 15 years old.

MLB continues its stretch run to the postseason. Dancing with the Stars begins its 28th season (!!!). I’ll be watching “The Deuce” on HBO.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Football is back and ESPN has a doubleheader with the Saints-Titans in the early game and Raiders-Broncos in the nightcap.

RAW will be going up against that with a show live from Madison Square Garden that will feature “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Sounds exciting. There is a big contract signing between Braun Stroman and Seth Rollins and the FOUR HORSEWOMEN EXPLODE!!!

Good luck topping that NFL..

Other stuff on TV? I will DVR “The Duece” on HBO but nothing else is must see.

Happy Labo(u)r Day for those who have enjoyed the long weekend and if you’re on the Southeastern coast in the United States please be careful as Hurricane Dorian decides to do whatever the heck it’s going to do.

RAW is live tonight and we’ve got two more weeks of programming before Clash of the Champions PPV. There have been some matches announced and I expect there will be more this week.

Luckily I didn’t watch 8 hours of wrestling Saturday. I’m a college football girl so I watched about 12 hours of that instead :). I did, however, catch the NXT UK event the next day and every accolade that’s been given to the Tyler Bate-WALTER match is well deserved. Tyler Bate is a special worker, I’ve felt that way since the first time I saw him. There are great workers and then there are talents that you have unfairly high expectations for and they just deliver each time. Tyler Bate is that kind of talent for him. I didn’t know what kind of story he and WALTER were capable of delivering and after 45 minutes of drama I found myself almost tearing up watching Dunne and Seven scrape our hero off the mat knowing he did everything in his power to win and it just wasn’t good enough. That’s wrestling at it’s finest.

As for tonight’s card. Samoa Joe-Ricochet and Cedric Alexander-Corbin make up your quarterfinal KotR matches. There’s a Bayley/Lynch vs. Bliss/Cross tag match that might be really good and Rey Mysterio and some form of Bray Wyatt are also scheduled. Oh and a contract signing between Rollins and Strowman. Those are always fun.

Baseball has been going on all day because it’s a holiday in the USA. We’ve got Notre Dame-Louisville football tonight. I might hop on HULU and watch that Harvey Weinstein documentary.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. RAW charges on as we approach Clash of the Champions and have plenty left to determine.

The second half of the RAW bracket of the King of the Ring first round is tonight. Ricochet will face Drew McIntyre in what should be a fun match and Baron Corbin will face Miz in what should not be a fun match. Oh well, can’t win them all. Sasha Banks is scheduled to work her first match since Wrestlemania.

Peyton Royce is officially off the market.

So is Finn Balor possibly.

Lots of love in the air everywhere. Yay for summer marriages.

Not a ton on tonight. U.S. Open you can watch Serena Williams try to improve her record against former drug cheat Maria Sharapova to 194812-1. There’s some baseball and lots of preseason football replays on the NFL Network. I think my husband will want to watch The Maltese Falcon on ACM since he loves the classics. Maybe I will watch it with him.

Sorry for the late post tonight. I’m currently on the West Coast and sometimes that little three-hour time difference gets lost during the day. I couldn’t even think about watching wrestling with so much sunshine outside right now!

But anyway RAW is Live tonight. It’s the first half of the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. We’ve got Cesaro vs. Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn vs. Cedric Alexander announced for tonight. And there is a Sasha Banks interview tonight.

There is a ton of other stuff (baseball, ninja warriors, etc.) on tonight so watch what makes your happy.

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Both Summerslam and NXT Takeover: Toronto seemed to be generally well received. There was a lot of nitpicking over this and that but if you liked the matched and liked the show then who cares if you thought a ****** match was really a ****1/4 match? Seriously.

Of the two shows I thought NXT really pulled a rabbit out because it wasn’t the most inspired booking but the workers came to work. Definitely gave me the sell on Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain too with their brawl. And it could be a tricky booking move but they should strike the Evil Shirai iron while it’s hot and get the belt on her. I also believe we’re heading toward a Dream vs. Cole unification match sooner than later. Going to be hard to get the strap off Dream and they need a new program for Cole and the most appealing opponent (Riddle) is currently occupied.

As for Summerslam, the main event was a hell of a fight and a great piece of business. They were able to get Rollins back on track and where they go from here is interesting. Wouldn’t be a bad time to get some new heels going and see which ones the fans will buy in as a threat. Overall I liked the card, most of the right people went over. Fans were active for some matches, not for others.

Tonight is the RAW fallout show. We know Ziggler vs. Miz has been announced, Rey vs. Andrade 2-out-of-3 falls, Cedric vs. Drew and Alexa/Nikki vs. The Kabuki Warriors are also on tap so it looks promising. We’ll see.

We got 7-8 MLB games tonight. No live preseason NFL but the NFL Network has a ton of replays.

Lot of interesting TV tonight. AMC is debuting The Terror: Infamy, which looks really interesting. HBO has two episodes of Our Boys and I think Legion (FX) is doing their series finale tonight.

Anyway there’s plenty to watch so stay home and be lazy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying a productive Monday. RAW is live tonight and it’s the go home show for Summerslam. Maybe the first real big test of the new creative regime as while last week’s show was pretty well received the numbers were down. Much of the card is decided so this is a good chance to tie up some loose ends.

As for tonight’s show. There have been a few things announced. Andrade vs. Rey Misterio might be good. There’s a 4-way match for the Women’s Tag titles. I read somewhere that Trish Stratus will be in-ring tonight but I can’t confirm that.

Roman Reigns did an interview with ESPN you can read here. Nothing too earth shattering but he goes into the issues with Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins because god knows we can’t get enough of that.

Jaws is on AMC tonight if you wanted to see a shark just destroying beach goers right and left.

Full night of baseball, only three days before NFL preseason begins, 18 days before college football begins. Patience is a virtue.
