I hope everyone is staying safe and doing whatever they can to survive. It’s crazy out there right now.

I think some form of RAW will be on tonight. Hard to say who will be there and what will be shown, but there is wrestling programming scheduled from 8 to 11 p.m. on USA Network. Towaza will defend the 24/7 belt in a rematch with R-Truth. Viking Raiders take on Garza and Andrade and a I think Crews vs. MVP is also scheduled.

Lots of repeats of other programming on tonight as we’re still three-plus weeks away from the potential beginning of major team sports in America.

There’s Canada Day and Independence Day this week. Please be safe and try to respect each other.

Howdy Blog O’Doomers!

Welcome to another Monday Night here at the blog. I hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed safe.

Tonight on a previously taped RAW (I think) it’s CHAMPIONSHIP MONDAY! We got the women’s title on the line between Asuka and the biggest female star in the industry Charlotte and then the World Tag Championship between the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders and the Women’s Tag Championship featuring Sasha and Bailey against the IIconics and to close out this mega show we’ve got R-Truth in a rare in-ring 24/7 title defense against Tozawa.

Gonna be hard to beat that show.

LATE EVENING NEWS DUMP: It appears that WWE Backstage has been canceled. Probably means the end of CM Punk talking WWE and it could very well put Renee Young’s role with the company in question.

As for the news that’s hit wrestling recently. I just want to say I hope the guilty are completely banished and the women that have been violated can find some comfort in that.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We had another sorta/kinda PPV last night. Sadly I checked out before the GOAT wrestling match, which at least by most accounts hit the **** range. I liked the Lashley-McIntyre match. Good power match.

RAW is either live or taped tonight, the first under the Brother Love banner so expect lots of Charlotte and Seth Rollins. Word has gotten out that A.J. Styles was hating life on RAW because they made fun of him being a flat earther and his belief that CoVid-19 came from the same pizza parlor that Hillary Clinton ran her child slave trade operations from. And he blamed Heyman for the Good Brothers getting the axe. Wow has A.J. Styles always been that big of a whiny bitch? Just asking.

Anyway. ESPN has some “Return to Sports’ thing on tonight with some sports commissioners. I hope none of them listen to the baseball commissioner. Fox Sports 1 has some old games from the 2018 World Cup.

I hope everyone is having a good day. It’s Backlash go-home week for a show that I believe is already in the can. In Your House was last night. I really liked the two woman’s matches even though Shirai almost killed Rhea Ripley. I really liked Damien Priest-Finn Balor. I saw some real star potential in Priest.

Looks like there might be some significant call-ups. I suggested Dream, Ciampa and Priest move up and maybe Lee if they can get the N.A. title off of him in the next couple weeks. NXT needs a full influx of new developmental. And I would even move a couple guys down like Ali and Gable…maybe Cedric Alexander.

Anyway there’s the Best of “The Bachelor” on ABC. That’s a warning, not necessarily a suggestion. I think I’m going to load up the DVR and watch “Quiz” from last night. The ESPN documentary on Bruce Lee airs on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.

Keep. It. Clean.

It’s been quite the week and the weekend so I haven’t been as active the board as I usually am and that will probably continue a little while longer. I will do a review of the Owen Hart episode of Dark Side of the Ring soon, maybe by the weekend or next week. It’s a good episode and needs to be reviewed. I just want to be in the right mindset to do it. Sadly Dino Bravo and Road Warrior Hawk will be skipped for now, but those episodes were horrible.

RAW is sorta of taped tonight I think. Got an old Monday Night Game from last season between the Seahawks and 49ers on. I think there’s a throwback to old seasons of The Bachelor on ABC. Ahhh summer time viewing without sports is tough but that will probably change in the next several weeks.

Scott has a re-done rant of Royal Rumble 1993.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We’ve got an action-packed Monday (not really). I think RAW is live or taped or something. Baron Corbin will be challenging Drew McIntyre for the World title in a crossover match because God knows when the ratings are down Baron Corbin is the guy that save the day.

Scott did a review update of Royal Rumble 1992. It’s a pretty historic card.

Outside of wrestling, ESPN is showing an old Monday Night game from a couple of years ago with Pat Mahomes doing Pat Mahomes stuff.

The Birds, a classic Alfred Hitchcock movie from the 60s, is on BBC tonight. I always enjoy watching that movie.

Quarantine viewing has improved a little, but it’s still a challenge so find something if you can.

Tuesday Night Thread

We’ve got Wrestlemania III on FS1 right now. Don’t act like Hulk’s promo calling Hulkamania “the real truth” didn’t get you hyped up.

Dark Side of the Ring on Road Warrior Hawk is tonight.

Don’t know what the heck is going on with Disqus but do your best.

Scott has an NWA-TNA PPV rant here and I’ve got the Dark Side review from the crazy Herb Abrams episode here.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. As things are beginning to open up a little, I hope everyone is being respectful of one another and courteous to the employees of these businesses, especially the people in the service industry or working for the essential businesses at the grocery stores. The more success we have, the quicker things will open up more.

Back at it tonight with RAW. It’s the post-mortem from Money in the Bank. Asuka and Otis are YOUR briefcase winners and Baron Corbin might’ve killed Rey Mysterio Jr.

FWIW I thought the MITB stuff was fine and silly and had some funny moments. Nothing particularly laugh out loud, but humorous like Alestair Black closing the door on A.J. Styles in the old Funeral Parlor room and him selling Black locking him in. I actually though Styles might’ve been the MVP of the whole thing.

The big news is apparently something will happen with Becky Lynch tonight. Possibly vacating her title. Hopefully she isn’t sick or injured…maybe she is with child…Don’t know, just speculating.

Otherwise there’s a Patriots-Bills MNF game from 2009 on ESPN. Got some Korean baseball happening at 5:25 a.m. ET on Tuesday Morning. There’s some Amy Schumer cooking show on Food Network? There is a Netflix doc dropping tonight about celebrities taking mushrooms…that sounds fun.

Whatever you need to get through the night. Keep it Clean!

It’s Monday night and we’ve got RAW either live or taped! No clue. Barely watch the show anymore. I’m learning to really appreciate the crowds I’ve hated for the past 10-15 years.

As for other stuff on TV. We’re in the midst of a Star Wars marathon on TBS because apparently May 4 is a big day for Star Wars’ heads. Cool.

Other than that I don’t have much tonight. Enjoy. Watch the old Monday Night Football game on ESPN or talk about the “Last Dance” or Japanese women’s pro wrestling or something.

The Princess Rant on Dark Side of the Ring (Season 2, Episode 7)

All right I am skipping Dino Bravo for now. I just can’t get through it. The first 20 minutes of people describing him like he was the wrestling equivalent of Rocket Richard to the people of Montreal puts me to sleep.

So we’ll get back to it at a date TBD.

Anyway I know I won’t be bored with this week’s episode that will take a deep dive into Dr. D David Schultz and his slap down of long time broadcast journalist John Stossel. Schultz is one of the legendary tough guys and nutcases in the business and an amazing promo. I would put his ability to talk shit up there with any of the greats. His style has been compared to what you heard out of Steve Austin during the earlier, more unhinged phase of “Stone Cold” as compared to the slogan and tagline guy he would become later. He has a tremendous raspy voice, perfect for pro wrestling.

I hope everyone is well as we approach Week 7 of quarantine in these parts. I still have the Dino Bravo “Dark Side of the Ring” to do. I’ll do it tonight for tomorrow morning. I was going to do it Friday, but Scott decided to do old Dark Rings on Friday and I didn’t want a new one to get lost in the shuffle. After that maybe I’ll do them Thursday as long as my remote work day isn’t so busy.

RAW is on tonight. No clue if this is a live taping or not. There is an old Cowboys-Bills game on ESPN. Bunch of other stuff on TV or Netflix or Hulu. Get through it the best way you can.

I hope everyone is having another great week of isolation and quarantine. We’ve got RAW tonight and I’m not sure if it’s live or pre-taped or what. It looks like they are going to the old 1997-type of taped scheduled where they are taping this week’s and next week’s shows. Either way it’s better than the alternative.

What else is on TV tonight? Well for the sports fan we’ve got the 2005 Patriots-Colts game. For the trash TV fan there is the second week of The Bachelor: Songwriters edition. There’s also the finale of “A Plot Against America” and season finale “Better Call Saul”, which is better than Breaking Bad…yeah I said it!

Please continue to take care of yourselves.

Yes, I get it, this shit is getting real old real fast.

Some form of RAW will be live tonight. It’s a really bad idea, but it’s what’s going to happen so whatever.

Thank you for the very good thread on the Brawl For All edition of Dark Side of the Ring. Not sure what the numbers were on it yet, but I have to assume they were pretty decent.

Colby Covington claims he wants to get in the WWE next year. Yes of all the naturally charismatic people in the UFC, the one guy that can’t draw a dime and uses classic lines like “Marty Fakenewsman” is the one that wants to jump ship.

As for other TV. Better Call Saul was amazing last week so I have to imagine it’ll be as good this week. I just started bingeing “Community” and it’s been exceptionally good. There’s some old reruns of sports on too. Hang in there guys!
