I hope everyone had a great weekend. This is the big RAW Reunion that will several of your old favorites return and take up the time that could be used to get newer talent over! Oh well. Usually these reunion shows give us something to talk about with all the returning old guard and whether or not they’ve kept themselves in decent shape. I’m not sure of any matches scheduled because most of the hype has been around the reunion.

Lot of baseball on, not much else.

New episodes of both the Bachelorette and American Ninja Warrior tonight.

I hope everyone had an amazing summer weekend or winter weekend if you live in New Zealand or something.

Anyway, this weekend was kind of what you’d want as a wrestling fan when this thing really kicks off in the fall. All three of the major shows were pretty good, each of them had at least a couple of matches worth going out of your way to see. And if this competition means a bunch of guys will be working hard and having good matches we will all win.

So RAW tonight. This is the start of the Paul Heyman produced shows I believe. It makes sense because the champions are all heels and Heyman tends to like to book the chase better than the babyface runs. Meanwhile the New Day is champs on Smackdown which also makes sense because Bischoff tends to like to stick with the acts that sell merchandize and keep them strong. So it seems like both show bookers will get what they want to start.

A lot of baseball on tonight. I see San Francisco hung a 19 spot on Colorado this afternoon.

Groundhog Day is on Sundance tonight. If you’ve never seen it or if you’ve seen it many times I would highly recommend watching it again.

The never-ending season of The Bachelorette is still on. And American Ninja Warrior is on and there’s like Chopped and Beat Shazam and other summer TV.

Oh yeah, if you need a random great match to watch, check out the Nasty Boys vs. Bagwell/Scorpio from Halloween Havoc 1993. Easily the best Nasty Boys match that didn’t include Bret Hart or Mick Foley. Bagwell and Scorpio could really go in 1993.

Another weekend in the book. Hopefully many on the American side of the border took an extended weekend like I did and I hope it was a good one and a safe one.

It looks like RAW got a little bit of a bump thanks to Paul Heyman’s new role and apparently he was responsible for, or at least took credit for, all the parts of last week’s show that were well received. That can’t be a bad thing. How he’ll make the go home show for Extreme Rules interesting remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, we’ve got the Home Run Derby tonight where I’ll be rooting for Pete Alonso because my husband is a die-hard and very depressed Mets fan and Pete is a good kid from Tampa.

I think there’s a new Bachelorette episode and American Ninja Warrior and tons of other stuff for you to enjoy.

So let’s keep it clean!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and my Canadian friends are having a Happy NHL Free Agency Day, also known as Canada Day.

RAW is on live tonight and it appears that the next two weeks are someone lame duck weeks before the new regime takes over. All I know about these moves so far is it was serious enough for Bischoff to move from a beautiful place like Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Connecticut and there’s no way I’m leaving any place for Connecticut unless it’s serious. As for the expectations…eh? I’m excited. If they just kept it simple, let the workers work, and eliminated most of the writers it would probably be a great improvement.

Lots of baseball and NBA/NHL free agency.

Lots of regular TV stuff on too. Check your local listings.

I hope you all had a great weekend and either enjoyed yourself or got more things accomplished.

A PPV-like event happened last night. The most notable thing is that Ricochet won the U.S. title and gave us a glimmer of hope until the main event matches began and we realized that we’ll be stuck in Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans hell a little longer until the WWE realized their goal of having a PPV held at an empty arena.

On the good side, RAW is featuring A.J. Styles vs. Ricochet, which shouldn’t suck. And who knows who’ll show up on the Wild Card side besides the people that normally do like Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon and The New Day….maybe they will pull Finn Balor from exile.

Meanwhile I’ll probably watch some DVR’d stuff. My husband was cracking up over Holey Moley so I’ll check that out and catch on the first two episodes of Press Your Luck. There is Game 1 of the CWS tonight between Michigan and Vanderbilt. A new episode of the Bachelorette and the NBA Awards are at 9 p.m.

And for your viewing pleasure, the old Midnights/Horsemen program popped up in a thread which led me to find the compilation of promos that set up their historic match. Arn’s diss of Stan Lane isn’t very PC but damn it was funny.

I hope everyone is well and had a great weekend.

Believe it or not there’s ANOTHER go home show for another PPV. Which means we’ll get more Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin than we can handle. The good news is they are hyping a match between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan which probably won’t suck. The rest of the show I can’t be so confident in.

My suggestion if you have a spare 45 minutes is to watch last week’s 205 Live which featured an excellent match between Chad Gable and Jack Gallagher and a very good main event with a 4-way match between Drew Gulak, Oney Lorcan, Tozawa and Humberto Castillo. It was a great wrestling show, which proves the WWE can still do those things.

Anyway, The Bachelorette is on tonight and there’s a College World Series game between Michigan and Florida State. Also it’s Teen Tournament time on Jeopardy in case some of you need to feel smart.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to avoid watching Blood Money in the Bank and it turned out to be a big steaming pile of crap that no one liked and seemingly no one wanted to work. Oh well serves them right. I still might watch Undertaker-Goldberg at some point because I can’t look away from a car wreck.

RAW is like tonight and building toward Stomping Grounds. I’m currently not interested but that might change. You’ll probably see Ricochet/Cesaro part IV or V tonight and maybe they’ll get the tag titles off of whoever is holding them and put them on the Usos since the Usos get on TV each week.

Moving on. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is on Sundance tonight. I was going to suffer through the Mets-Yankees game on MLB Network because my husband is a long-suffering Mets fan but luckily that game has been postponed because of rain. So I’ll probably watch “Beat Shazam” before the NBA game comes on tonight and the Raptors will try to do something the Maple Leafs will never do and bring Toronto a championship.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I was able to catch Takeover 25 and it was another tremendous effort from the NXT crew. Some tremendous work up and down the card.

The big news tonight is Brock is going to cash in. Secondary big news is the Bloodline returns for at least one night because Roman works best in alliances.

Blood Money in the Bank go home tonight! NHL game. Go team not from Boston!!!

I hope those in the states had a good Memorial Day if you chose to honor and celebrate. For the rest I hope your weekend was splendid.

There is plenty of to read on the site with Double of Nothing reviews written by Scott and Thomas Hall. It seems like a good portion of the blog regulars saw the show. I saw it as well. I was entertained. It was a very good card and the Young Bucks match with Pentagon and Fenix was something special. I wonder if RAW will get a couple more viewers tonight with the curiosity to if they will “respond” and to that I say it would seem doubtful. No need to acknowledge your competition until they show they can compete. But they might indirectly respond with better matches tonight and that wouldn’t suck would it?

Moving on. The stupid Stanley Cup final starts tonight between Boston, who I hate, and St. Louis, who I hate slightly less. I’d root against Boston in an intrasquad scrimmage so of course I’m pulling for the Blues. I’m guessing Blues fans can’t possibly be as  sanctimonious as Cardinals fans right? It would seem like a pretty high bar to reach.

There is an A&E documentary on Chris Farley at 9 p.m. and for that I’m ALL IN.

The Princess Rant for “Dark Side of the Ring” Ep: 6

This is the final edition of the six-part series “Dark Side of the Ring” by Viceland network, It’s the most watched show in the history of the network and they are doing an “Extended Cut” of the first six shows and I believe they have officially green lit a second season.

This episode focuses on the career of The Fabulous Moolah.

And sometimes the things you have the least of expectations for yield the highest results.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I have only had a chance to glance at parts of last night’s PPV. I watched the pre-show tag match which was good and it should have been given the participants. Other thoughts:

— The women’s segments with the two matches and the Bayley cash in was a pretty good piece of business even if the matches disappointed slightly. I’ll say this about Becky-Lacey Evans…I think they can get there in there’s of match quality because they are making me believe they hate each other. Meanwhile the best thing they can do with Bayley is not rush to job her out to Charlotte quickly — which means Charlotte will probably win her 10th title on Tuesday or by the next PPV.

— The men’ s MITB is what it is…Brock is in a position of power because they are desperate for top guys, he still has some top guy appeal and there’s a general refusal to really commit to making someone a star.

As for tonight RAW is live with the brand new title. Yay.

Ric Flair’s surgery was a success. Get well soon Nature Boy!

In other sports the Warriors will dispatch of the Blazers like the bottom-feeding jobbers they are tonight.

Season Finale of the Voice tonight!

I hope everyone had a good weekend and stuff! Tonight RAW is pre-Taped from London and it’s the go home show for Money in the Bank. The teasers have Becky Lynch doing a double contract signing, Roman Reigns fulfilling a wild-card spot to talk with the Miz and a bunch of other excitement.

Of course the REAL exciting reason for tonight is the Tom Magee-Bret Hart match/update debuting on the Network post RAW.

We’re down to the conference finals in both the NBA and NHL. The NBA conference finals start tomorrow while the NHL’s continue tonight with Game 2 of the Western Finals between St. Louis and San Jose.

There’s other stuff on TV too!

The Princess Rant on Dark Side of the Ring: Ep 4

This is the fourth episode in a six-part series “Dark Side of the Ring” on Viceland. Apparently the numbers for wrestling-related programs have been good because Vice is debuting “The Wrestlers” on May 22 and an extended-cut version of “Dark Side”

Viceland Set To Premiere The Wrestlers, “Extended Cut” Of Dark Side Of The Ring

Anyhoo, this episode is on the deaths in the von Erich family. I’ll zip through this one pretty quickly because there’s not a ton of new information from it.

This is going to be quick.

Roman Reigns has been teasing on social media all weekend that he’ll be opening RAW tonight. It’s probably true because the ratings are trash.

Bucks-Celts and Rockets-Warriors in NBA Playoffs tonight. Blue Jackets-Bruins and Sharks-Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight.

The XFL will broadcast their games on ABC, ESPN, FOX and FS1 next season.

I hope you all had wonderful weekends in whatever part of the world you reside. After watching a couple of snippets of the NFL Draft, I’m wondering if the WWE shouldn’t hired ex-athletes to write promos. Pat McAfee and Reggie Wayne drew the sort of heel heat in Tennessee this past weekend that would make Andy Kaufman smile.

RAW is live tonight. Don’t know what’s happening, can’t say I care much either. I will say that between the two ladder matches, Rollins-AJ and Kofi-KO the card should not suck and I also expect Becky-Lacey to be a spirited affair as I think Lacey Evans can work a little or she’s at least she can be carried.

Two NBA playoff games tonight I might watch and one Stanley Cup playoff game tonight that I won’t be watching even though Ben Bishop is involved and that’s because it’s stupid!

If you like music, the Voice is on and there’s an Adam Lambert/Queen documentary thing on as well.

The Princess Rant on “Dark Side of the Ring” Ep: 2

This is the second episode of the six-part series “Dark Side of the Ring” on Vice Network. This is on the Montreal Screwjob from the 1997 Survivor Series.

FWIW I wanted to gloss over this because it’s been talked about ad nauseam but for the sake of continuity, and to get to the amazing third episode it was time to bite the bullet.

And yes the third episode, the Killing of Bruiser Brody, was everything I wanted and more. It blew me away. This one, not so much.

Oh well we’ll always have last week Viking Experience

Anyhoo. The post shake-up RAW is tonight as the shaking continues long past it’s shake expiration. I don’t even remember who’s on the new show so I’ll just find out if/when I look at it tonight.

Milwaukee and Houston go for sweeps tonight in the NBA playoffs while Washington and Dallas look to advance in the NHL Playoffs, which are stupid and suck completely. NHL is the worst.

And if you don’t want to watch sports or sports entertainment than I don’t know what to tell you. “A Few Good Men” is on Sundance.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and are enjoying a good start to the week. I’ve been a little salty because my Tampa Bay Lightning are crapping the bed in a historic fashion. Sports are stupid anyway!

Superstar shakeup tonight so who knows what’s going to happen on RAW and Smackdown this week. Hopefully it’ll be more exciting than last week.

My guess is The Usos will be on RAW. The Bar will split and Cesaro will join RAW. Nakamura moves to RAW. Asuka moves to RAW so she can job to Alexa Bliss in three minute matches. One major player from NXT will move over too. Maybe Matt Riddle.

Two NBA playoff games and four from the NHL are on.

The Princess Rant on “Dark Side of the Ring” Ep: 1

I was ready to re-start late 2015 NXT since the Wrestlemania bump was done and this falls into my lap.

“Dark Side of the Ring” is a six-part series that’s on Viceland here in the states. It focuses on some of the tragedies around wrestling. The first episode is “The Match Made in Heaven” and it focuses on the relationship with Randy “Macho Man” Savage and Elizabeth.

Enjoy and discuss among yourselves if you so desire.

Well Wrestlemania weekend is over and the card, all five and a half hours (seven and a half if you count the pre-show), is done. The general consensus is that Kofi-Bryan was excellent (I agree) and the main event was anywhere from decent-to-good-to-disappointing (I thought it was a very good match that a very worn down crowd couldn’t going for), In hindsight I think going with Ronda-Becky 1-on-1 would have been the better play. That would have left Charlotte for a second match with Asuka, which she could’ve won again. I would have no problem with Asuka jobbing to Charlotte twice because she would have at least been on the main card in a good position and they would have had a great match.

Wrestlemania XXXV Thread (10 p.m.-Close)

Howdy for the last time!

We started with a two-hour thread and we’ll end with a two+ hour thread. According to the predicted match schedule they will pile all the championship matches in the final two hours but I think they will throw Rollins-Brock on earlier than that. We’ll see.

Anyway everyone is going to have thoughts on this. Can this crowd survive seven hours of wrestling? Let’s see.
