Live from New York… It’s the Saturday Night Open Thread!

Have at it, people. We’ve got college football, we’ve got baseball later tonight and a whole bunch of other stuff going on.

Tonight, we go 40 lightyears outside the Buttermilk Nebula! At least until the sticker comes off and we get towed outside the City Limits…

The ALCS kicks off tonight with the Blue Jays at the Royals. I’ll admit to being more invested in the NLCS, since I live in Queens and I used to live in Chicago. As far as the ALCS goes, I’ve been to Toronto three or four times and I know that there’s a song that has the lyrics, “Kansas City, Kansas City here I come…” But I get why people here would be excited about that. I assume a baseball thread will pop up later to try and usurp this one, but that’s definitely NOT Streets Ahead.

Also, there’s hockey, stuff on television and maybe you can go catch a new movie. Goosebumps, anyone?  As usual, I’ll be stuck here at work.

I’m doing a lot of these lately. Talk it up!

Stuff goes on, we should have a place to talk about it all. I’m catching up on TV from last freaking season before I head off to work to waste what seems like a rather nice day in New York City.

Tonight, we get ready for the Sophie B. Hawkins dance in protest to the school’s Sadie Hawkins dance. Will Sophie B. Hawkins show up? Or will the whole night be Britta’d?

Also, the MLB Playoffs continue tonight – can the Blue Jays continue on into the ALCS for our fearless leader? Will the Dodgers take down Queens’ favorite sons? Also, other games.

Talk about anything and everything, and hopefully Bayless didn’t post something to undercut me!

Brock vs. Show headlines the big card from the World’s Most Famous Arena tonight, which also features Rollins jobbing to John Cena (again) and New Day defending against those damned Dudley Boys.

I’m bored and want people to talk to, so here’s a Saturday thread for us all!

Seems like everyone is off to the Puppy Parade today, so try not to get stuck in a bottle episode while trying to find a purple pen.

Make sure you all have your goatees to celebrate the Mets clinching the division and heading into the playoffs. Also, other stuff.

We’ve got college football, baseball and pumpkin spice lattes (just kidding, all I want is a coffee with my bagel), so let’s get some non-bot conversing going, bay-bee!

So, we discussed this yesterday a little bit, and here I am to make it a reality. We’ve got a lot of Doomers here in the greater New York City metro area, so I was thinking of setting up a meet-up. Once I have an idea of who would be interested and a good time to do the thing, we’ll get down to specifics.

Tonight on a very special evening thread, the blog comes together to agree that they won’t agree on anything. Ever.

I come here for distraction and I find no place to be distracted! So I create my own. It’s entirely possible I should just go back to bed, but the wife is making dinner.

The first of three shows from the Barclays Center starts at 9 p.m. on the WWE Network, which you can order for $9.99 – first month is free for new customers! The show is highlighted by Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens for the NXT strap in a ladder match and Bayley looks for the NXT Women’s title against Sasha Banks.

No Enzo and Cass on this show? FAIL!

Talk about your predictions and complain about how WWE will ruin Balor and the rest once they get called up to the main roster.

It’s the eve of WWE’s Brooklyn weekend with Takeover tomorrow night, the Summer Slam on Sunday and Monday Night Raw all coming from the Barclays Center, which might be of WWE’s biggest weekends of the year.

The Jays and Yanks continue to battle for the top of the AL East as we roll on to the playoffs. We’re a week away from SummerSlam weekend. Talk about everything you want.
