Kingston/Punk

Still buzzing after watching that exchange several times since last night.

Two REAL guys who talk in a way that feels REAL with a conflict that feels both REAL and nuanced.

Maybe Kingston IS speaking up for the locker room, maybe he does feel rejected by his heroes…or maybe he just hates Punk because those criticisms about him were right along and he doesn't want to face that truth about himself.

Maybe Punk IS disappointed in this man he saw who had all this potential…or maybe Punk is just a glad-handing egomaniac who came in only because the money was good and he could take someone else's spot.

One of them could “turn heel,” maybe neither of them do. In the end it doesn't matter because we, the audience, can choose a side and feel justified in our choice.

I feel this thing has some real legs, but knowing how AEW can sometimes cut a program off too early (Cody / MJF jumps to mind), I hope they have something long and suitably epic for this program.

We’ll just have to let it play out and see where it goes.
