AEW doing what WWE won’t

Vince McMahon has stated his product is sports entertainment. AEW seemingly has zero qualms about admitting and acknowledging they are a wrestling promotion offering wrestling fans, wrestling. Has that been the key to AEW’s success? It kinda feels that way. What say you?
It’s more that AEW listens to the audience and delivers what they want. If they want something different than wrestling I’m sure they’ll switch directions as needed too.
