Doink Reboot?

Hi Mr. Keith,

It is accepted among longtime fans that Matt Borne was head and shoulders above all other Doinks in the '90s.

Few argue the character was gold when done properly. With the revivals of It, Joker, etc., it is not unthinkable that a 21st century Doink could wreak havoc as an awesome heel.

If the Doink concept (not necessarily the trademark) was to be revived in the current era, who might you pick to play the character?. And how should the character be introduced and/or developed over time?

I think that someone like Sami Callihan could have pulled it off if the “evil hacker” character he played in NXT had gone in a slightly different direction. Not necessarily as a “clown” per se, but acting as an agent of chaos like Heath Ledger's Joker in the Dark Knight.
