Better use of Bret Hart in WCW

If WCW really wanted to stick it to the WWF during the Monday Night Wars, wouldn't the best use of Bret Hart have been to job him out in 2 minutes in his debut match, to a past his prime former star who was now a jobber, like say Bobby Eaton?
You could literally draw names out of a hat and then throw darts at a wall with booking ideas and come up with better storylines than they did for Bret.
