RVD WCW Big Bang 2001

Rumor had it that if WCW had gone through with the deal to Bischoff in 2001, that RVD was coming in and was going to be the face of WCW becoming champion at the Big Bang PPV that never happened. Was there truth to that and do you think RVD as the new face
of WCW would have worked?
Depends what you mean by “worked” I guess. Would it have kept them afloat? Probably. Would he have turned around the company and put asses in seats? Doubtful. I think ultimately he was better off in the gaga-laden WWF.
