Honestly, do you have any rational explanation as to why TNA constantly used to do that? Did they not realize it made them look bush league? Say what you will about the WWF repackaging certain guys with new gimmicks, but I can at least understand their reasoning behind it, as to not to refer to their past with another promotion. And even when they didn't change a wrestler's identity (Ronnie Garvin), they sure as heck never brought up his past with that “other” promotion.
It’s just a lazy way to establish character without having to do the hard work. Hey it’s the guy who used to be another guy!
