Survivor Series Main Event

This is the third year that Survivor Series has had the Universal Champion vs. WWE Champion as the main event… And the third year the WWE Championship changed hands a week before the show to change the main event.
For the record…
2017: Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal became Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles
2018: Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles became Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
2020: Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton became Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre
In every case the new match makes sense, but why wait until the last minute to change it every time? Even in a time where they don’t have to worry about selling tickets or PPVs, can they not book anything with more than seven days of foresight?
I think we know the answer to that question.
