Feuds about the better man

Hey Scott,
What's your favourite example of a feud that was purely and simply about two guys determined to prove (with or without the title) that they were the better wrestler? No shampoo, adultery, dogs or mannequins – just rivalry.
Rock vs John Cena was really good if you discount all the initial nonsense with the Awesome Truth, I’d say.
