The night that orange idiot tuned heel

So let's go back to the night he turns heel. He's on his way to the ring and the announcers are going “yes Hogan is here..take that outsiders we're saved hallelujah”… HOWEVER heenan says “but whose side is he on?” Why would he say that and ruin the element of surprise? Were the announcers not aware of the turn? Or was it reverse psychology.. since heenan said he might turn nobody will actually expect a turn. Either way an odd situation. Thoughts?

I think it was just Heenan carrying on with his character of always hating Hogan and never trusting him. Can’t blame him.
