Can AEW and WWE just stop?

Why are they still putting on TV shows? I understand they have a contract, but actual sports leagues have bigger contracts and don’t feel compelled to give ESPN, TNT, or whoever else empty arena free throw contests in lieu of actual games.
Numbers are dying on these shows, they need to go away.

I agree. But AEW still entertains me and my BFF Tony dropped off a big truck of money at my door, so I’ll allow them to stay.
