November 13, 1994
Your hosts are Vince McMahon and Todd Pettengill
This week’s featured match is Jerry Lawler vs. Bob Holly
Jerry “The King” Lawler w/ Queazy & Sleazy & Cheesy vs. Bob “Spark Plugg” Holly
This match is from the 10/19 “Wrestling Challenge” tapings in Albany, NY. Lawler gets backed into the corner then complains about a hair pull. Holly takes Lawler over with a hip toss and now complains about his tights being pulled. Holly takes Lawler over with another hip toss as Lawler’s midgets are yelling from ringside. Holly blocks a hip toss from Lawler and hits another one of his own. Holly now slams Lawler and this time Lawler bails and huddles with his teammates. Lawler returns to rake Holly across the face then uses a back drop. Lawler taunts the crowd but Holly fights back and gets a nearfall with a dropkick. Lawler retreats to the corner then the two slug it out as Lawler no grabs the ref by the waist. We go to break and return with both men locking up. Lawler rams Holly into the turnbuckle a few times then tosses him to the floor where his men stomp Holly as he distracts the referee. Lawler tosses Holly back into the ring and hits a DDT then a fist drop. Lawler then hits a vertical suplex and remains cocky but this time misses with a fist drop. Holly fights back and uses a back drop then heads outside and chases Lawler around the ring. Lawler collides with his men then heads back into the ring where Holly hits him with a snap suplex. Holly then uses a monkey flip from the corner then tries a running attack but misses and Lawler covers for the win (9:48) **1/2.
Thoughts: Fun match with a terrible finish. Lawler’s old school heel tactics worked and the crowd got behind Holly’s comebacks. Holly also looked credible here instead of a guy lucky to stick around. However, with Lawler in the midst of a feud with Doink it was clear he was going to get the win.

Charlie Minn is backstage with Ted DiBiase, Bam Bam Blgelow, and King Kong Bundy. DiBiase is not impresed with Luger’s win and says Bigelow & Bundy will show us how to get the job done., Bundy & Bigelow defeat Phil Apollo & Todd Mata from the 11/13 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.” However, unlike on Challenge, they show Mata being rolled onto a stretcher and gave us this interview prior to the match. Its a nice touch to make the match feel more special than a straight repeat from Challenge. Although if anyone cared is a whole other issue.
Final Thoughts: Holly vs. Lawler was solid and they spent less time knocking NFL pre-game shows and more focus on the Survivor Series. Next week we get Jarrett vs. Fatu as the featured match and expect a lot of last minute Survivor Series hype.
