Return of ppv

Scott- with several sources saying that WWE wants to sell streaming rights for ppv, how does that genie go back in the bottle? Is it a matter of WWE selling it off then it's the buyers problem? In that case, wouldn't WWE eventually take a hit for it?
And are buyers really thinking they can charge what is charged for ufc and get that kind of return when network buyers haven't paid more than 10 bucks in years?
Seems like a short term money grab that would eventually bite them.
That’s their business model in a nutshell these days. If they go to ESPN everyone else in the world is hosed though.
