Fwd: Thoughts on Star Trek: Picard?

Yeah, i'm a big fan thus far, although it throws me off every time someone says "fuck" on a mainstream Star Trek show. My wife bailed on it after two episodes because the cuts are too deep (Hugh Borg!) and the story isn't really moving that fast. But I'm deeply into Picard dressing up like a one-eyed pimp and running scams and stuff.

Although, I must echo the same sentiment a lot of other people have had about the Trek universe in general: Enough rebooting, revisiting and flashing back. Just move forward into the future, pick a new crew and a new captain and a new ship, and go have wacky adventures in space like everyone wants to see again. Maybe have Picard there to smash the champagne bottle on the new ship and wish them well if you want, but then that's it, move on.
