Indies and Insanity: December 19, 2019

But first, your sports viewing for the night: the NBA on TNT doubleheader is Lakers/Bucks in the Game of the Year of the Month, followed by Rockets/Clippers.  ESPN is showing the NCAA volleyball Final Four if that’s your bag (heck, college sports are always fun).  ESPN2 has an ACC twinbill as Duke hosts Wofford, then NC State goes to Auburn.  ESPNU is showing the G League tonight.  Hockey can be found on NBCSN as the Islanders take on the Bruins.  Fox Sports 1 has Maryland against Seton Hall, then a SmackDown replay.

But if you want wrestling, then there’s that too!  Just because the big boys are taking the night off doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch!  Check it out!

The big boys are putting on shows this weekend, so there’s some very good action:

  • Tonight at 8 on IWTV, live from Worcester, MA, is Beyond Wrestling’s Uncharted Territory show.  Aaron Rourke defends the Discovery Gauntlet for the 3rd time against Nick Stapp; the Tournament For Tomorrow semifinals take place; Leyla Hirsch faces David Starr; and in the main event, Chuck O’Neil teams with Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku to face Kris Statlander, Nick Gage, and a mystery partner — if they can find anyone to replace Thomas Santell, that is!
  • PWG hits LA Friday Night for their next big show, The Makings Of A Varsity Athlete!  Jeff Cobb defends the big gold against Bandido!  David Starr faces JD Drake!  Fenix takes on Jonathan Gresham!  And Tony Deppen has to figure out how he’s going to wrestle with Orange Cassidy!
  • For the second straight year, Glory Pro is UNSANCTIONED!  Saturday Night in Sauget, IL, presents the hardcore action, with a deathmatch main event as Ol’ Mancer faces off against AJ Gray!  Curt Stallion tests his resolve against EFFY, while the Besties square off with the Flip Bros!  Plus, Hakim Zane, Steve Manders, Rickey Shane Page, and more!

And now, your MATCH OF THE WEEK, and for AEW fans, this will be manna from heaven!  SoCal Uncensored in six-man tag team action in Beyond against then-LAX, now-P&P and their partner, Beyond mainstay Chris Dickinson!

Bring the insanity!
