I know this is a low chance of happening, but how do you think Vince would react if AEW and NXT captured old Monday Night War magic, and NXT popped a bigger rating than Raw? Does it matter? Furthermore, what would happen if AEW and NXT popped a bigger rating than Raw?
Smackdown only does 80% of RAW's rating, so I don't see NXT beating it with competition. But Vince would be delighted, I'm sure. AEW, apparently draws from a completely different audience, and there's apparently a LOT of them, so it might have a shot. In which case Vince would probably load up NXT with all the big talent and freak out. Really, this whole NXT is no-lose for him. If it beats AEW, then mission accomplished and their third brand beat the supposed scary new promotion filled with circus freak acts. If it loses, then big whoop, it's a developmental show that got beat by the hot wrestling show backed by a billionaire. Either way, USA puts another $100 million in Vince's bank account that he can blow on the XFL.
