Hey Scott, I was listening to JRs podcast and he mentioned how Vince was high (no pun intended) on RVD from the moment he saw him. Whenever they brought the ECW guys to Raw, Vince wanted to make sure RVD was highlighted and protected. Was Heyman basically developing RVD all along for his eventual signing to Vince?

HAHAHAHA…no.  Heyman was desperately trying to make RVD into his World champion and top star to save his company, but thought that "string the fans along for two years" was a great way to do it.  You know, just like when Vince strung the fans along for two years and kept Hulk apart from the Sheik when he wanted to make Hulk Hogan into his top star.  Gotta have the chase, you know.
