WWE “Women’s Revolution”

Hey Scott,

Just today, Meltzer has said that there are currently no plans for another women-only PPV.

In the five hours of WWE programming this week, there were only three relatively short women’s matches, one of which served only to promote a magazine.

And they only seem to focus on Becky/Charlotte/Lacey and now Bayley with the Women’s Tag Titles being used as unimportant props for two jobbers (sorry IIconics, but it’s true).

Is it safe to say the WWE have abandoned or forgotten the Women’s Revolution they were so high on leading up to Wrestlemania? It’s a shame.

It was always just a marketing buzzword, but they can always bring it back for Susan G Komen month or whatever. But much like everyone else in the promotion at the moment, yeah, the women are getting ground down into interchangeable midcarders outside of Charlotte and Becky. Ronda was a HUGE star presence and it’s really exposing everyone else as also-rans now that she’s gone.
