Pac burning bridges?

With Pac not wrestling for AEW this weekend, is he burning bridges and becoming a modern Eddie Gilbert? Seems like a poor career decision to back out of the AEW ppv. That's his 2nd company with basic cable tv deals where he's not wrestling in favor of maintaining an Indy belt.
It was a questionable decision on his part, but he's no Eddie Gilbert. Eddie would have probably played both sides against each other for the payday in advance and then went on vacation or something.
Also, on a related note, I've tried and failed about 4 times to start the Eddie Gilbert death issue of the Observer Flashback and it's giving me a really rough time for some reason. Every time I start, something comes up and I have to abandon it. For those wondering when I'm going to resume those again, that's why.
