Territory Classics

By Scott Keith on 30 April 2019

Scott,
When most people think of classic matches nowadays they rightfully think of the big national or international companies, however as I get older I find myself more drawn to the territory days. I was wondering if you had any territory-era matches that you consider all time classics? Memphis had things like the Lawler/Funk Empty Arena Match or the Lawler/Savage matches, Mid-South had stuff like Last Stampede, Florida had the Funk vs. Brisco classics, etc. I know Stampede was one of your go-to companies growing up with stuff like the Allen/Stomper angle (although the blow off match was a bit of a letdown if I remember). Any territory classics you recall fondly today?
