Macho-Steamboat Post-WM3

Watching SNME #11 from May 1987 that you just redid, I didn't realize how much they were planning on continuing that feud. Any idea what the long term plan was? Would Honky have also continued to with Jake? Would an extended feud with Steamboat have made it less likely that Savage turns face and is slotted into the title the following year?

I dunno man, Savage was getting so over as a babyface after WM3 that they probably couldn't have continued much longer without killing off Steamboat's heat by proxy. Steamboat really lost steam (nyuk nyuk) after accomplishing his goal and I don't think he would have lasted had the Honky Tonk title change not happened.
