Two Titles in a Ladder Match

By Scott Keith on 20 March 2019

Sorry for two e-mails so close together, but to kinda follow-up on my previous e-mail about combining several feuds into a single match, here's an idea that I've been wanting to see for years: the IC and US titles both being defended in a multi-man ladder match. The difference would be that, instead of hanging both belts from one line, you use two separate lines (one closer to the left side of the ring, one closer to the right), one for each belt. That way, you could potentially crown two new champs in a memorable match, or even have one person manage to grab both titles.

Just picture something along these lines: Balor, Lashley, Rush, Joe, Styles, Owens, Black, and Ricochet in a ladder match at "WM". Black wins the IC title and moves to "Raw", while Ricochet wins the US title and moves to "Smackdown".

Also, unrelated, but Buddy Murphy should totally be defending the Cruiserweight title against Rey Mysterio at "WM" this year. It would give Murphy (and the entire CW division) a big rub, and would likely be a hell of a match.

They kinda did a deal like that at WM2000 with Angle defending both the IC and Euro titles against Jericho and Benoit in a 2/3 falls match. Seems kind of overcomplicated to me, and lord knows WM doesn't need to be any more needlessly complex this year as it is.
Also, no, keep Rey away from the CW division. Just no.
