“Combining” matches

By Scott Keith on 19 March 2019

Hope everyone's well.

I've been wondering this for several years now, but wouldn't it make sense to throw a bunch of the part-timers and older wrestlers into one match instead of having them take time away from the more able-bodied performers?

Something like, say, Trips, Angle, Reigns, Strowman, and Balor, against Batista, Corbin, Mcintyre, Lashley, and Elias? It doesn't have to be that exact match, maybe just 3-on-3 or 4-on-4, whatever, but that certainly sounds better than sitting through a lot of the 1-on-1 matches that they have planned.
Yeah, it's called "What New Japan does" and it makes for much easier shows where guys don't have to kill themselves in every match.
