Furface questions

Hey Scott,

I was on a friend's podcast and we were talking 1990 WWF when one of his co-hosts asked some questions about "Furface" — aka, Brutus Beefcake in a silly mask doing run-ins after some of the syndie matches. I figured you'd know better than I, so:

1) Did they ever give him a name? He knew "Furface" was a fan nickname, but couldn't remember if anyone identified him.

2) What was endgame? Would Beefcake have been unmasked? Then what? There's no way Brother Bruti was healed enough to make an in-ring return by 1991, was there?

Hey, Furface questions! Just like in the RSPW days.

1. They never named him on TV, but his name was intended to be The Mariner. That's what the character was referred to internally.

2. I don't really think there was an endgame. He wasn't ready to return at that point anyway.
