What to do with Savage if Hogan-Warrior II had happened

So hypothetically mania 7 happens with Warrior vs Hogan on top. What do you do with Savage on this card? What's a good match for him? Do you still do Warrior vs Savage at the rumble, but minus the career stip yet still have all the post match stuff happen like the Liz reunion? Does Savage go into mania a face again, but with a different feud?

I don't think there was a solid idea for him during the window when Warrior v. Hogan was the idea. By Summerslam 90 it was clear that Slaughter was coming in and he was going to be the guy anyway. However, just for fun, here's my pitch.

Do the Warrior-Slaughter title match at the Rumble, but this time Savage interferes and botches it, costing Sarge the title. Sarge throws fire at Savage instead of Hogan in this timeline, and thus turns him babyface(ish). He's still mostly a heel but he's fighting for AMERICA. WM is Sarge v. Savage in a career match where a disgusted Sherri, tired of waving the flag and kissing babies, turns on her man and costs him his career. Then Liz makes the save, Savage proceeds as he did before, yada yada.
