Impact, Indies, and Insanity: November 1, 2018

Impact tonight features a Bound for Glory rematch, with Tessa Blanchard defending the Knockouts title against Taya Valkyrie.  In addition, LAX goes at it against Matt Sydal and Ethan Page, while Pentagon Jr and Homicide square off in a match most likely to have no survivors.

Your NFL Game of the Week of the Day is Oakland/San Francisco, which promises to be the dregs.  For meaningful football, the college appetizer has Temple against UCF, which has New Year’s Day bowl implications.

Quick question: would people want to see a recap of House Hardy Halloween this weekend?  It’s wrestling-related, after all.

After the jump, your independent wrestling roundup.

So you want to watch wrestling, but refuse to see Crown Jewel?  Here’s some options:

  • CMLL Super Viernes has their usual Friday night show on Claro, and this time it’s a Dia de los Muertos special!  Your main event is a wild trios match with Penta, Fenix, and Ultimo Guerrero facing Diamante Azul, LA Park, and Michael Elgin, while the Rey del Inframundo championship is on the line as Sanson faces Templario.
  • Friday night in Ybor City, FL, we get a SHINE show (#54)!  LuFisto is back with a clean bill of health and ready to reclaim the belt she had to surrender, taking on Allysin Kay for the SHINE title!  In addition, the tag gold is on the line when Holidead and Thunder Rosa defends against Ivelisse and Mercedes Martinez!
  • AIW will be in Akron for a WrestleCon!  The meet and greet includes Booker T, Kelly Kelly, Bob Orton, and Fred Ottman.  The show itself has a main event of Matthew Justice facing Tim Donst, while Team No Consequences face DJ Z and Andrew Everett.  Also, Gillberg will be in action.
  • Saturday night on Powerbomb TV will feature Black Label Pro producing Big Trouble in Little Crown Point!  And what a card we have — Gary Jay faces Kevin Ku, Kylie Rae takes on Allie Kat, Jake Parnell goes against Darby Allin, Dasher Hatfield tries to survive PCO, and Bryan Alvarez (yes, THE Bryan Alvarez) squares off with Marko Stunt!  Ethan Page, Rory Gulak, Puma King, and No New Friends will also be in action.
  • Sunday afternoon sees Alpha-1 putting on Forever Causing a Ruckus in Oshawa, Ontario.  The main event sees Josh Alexander defend the gold against Maxwell Jacob Friedman.  In addition, D’Lo Brown will be part of a Traditional Survivor Series match.
  • SUP presents All Eyes On Me from Nashville, Tennessee.  Marko Stunt defends the Bonestorm title against Brett Ison in the main event, while Jay takes on O’Shay Edwards and Ku teams with Dominic Garrini against Angelus Layne and Danhausen.
  • Revolution Pro is Love From The Cockpit for the final show before their big Uprising event.  Details on the card are light, but we do know that David Starr will get a warm-up match before his title shot by taking on Shane Taylor.  Aussie Open will also be in action.

Bring the insanity!
