Saturday Night Tidbits

Good evening, Doomers! Tonight we’ll get a brief rundown of the upcoming WWE card and some developing tidbits in video gaming and wrestling cinema…

WWE United States Title: Jeff Hardy (C, 90 days reigning) Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Braun Strowman Vs. Kevin Owens ~ In a Steel Cage!

Roman Reigns Vs. Bobby Lashley

Finn Balor Vs. Baron Corbin

New Day Vs. Sanity ~ Kickoff Pre-Show Tables Match

Andrade Almas Vs. Sin Cara ~ Kickoff Pre-Show Match

  • WWE 2K19 continues to come together for its October 9 release as Ryan Satin notes on Twitter that the return of Roddy Piper to the WWE 2K franchise is all but a formality. Given his exclusion in years past, it seems more a push from Rousey’s gimmick and that Kitty Toombs is as obsequious to New York as her husband was…
  • Likewise, Fire Pro Wrestling World PS4 continues to march towards its August 28 release with the (licenced!) inclusion of 39 current NJPW stars and a first-run preorder bonus New Japan Almanac, contents TBA. Also, efforts continue to integrate existing Steam CAWs across platforms…here’s hoping!
  • A new wrestling documentary, 350 Days, had its premiere last Thursday via TCM-Fathom Events and while news is still forthcoming on home video and streaming availability, a review has been posted by an attendee:

Who’ll be watching Extreme Rules tomorrow night, and what matches are you looking forward to the most? Will you be pre-ordering 2K19 for Ronda, or even out of habit? What about Fire Pro – are there any Doomers who have been keeping up with the series from its humble Human beginnings? And, how does 350 Days sound from the review – it looks promising to me, but will it have enough flair (small “f”!) to stand out from the pack?

As always, discuss!
