I tend to listen to the edge and christian podcast alot along with austins, anyway edge and austin both mentioned how stagnant nakamura is right now with edge even saying maybe he will never live up to the hype hes gotten, sure hes over but hes having trouble getting past the level hes at now, I do blame some of it on booking as he went from being treated as something special in nxt to just another guy on the main roster (trend with alot of call ups) the jinder fued has killed alot of his luster but some of it is also his fault, theres only so many times you can see him on tv and go "hes cool cause he does charismatic mannerisms" he relies alot on the same stuff. Really the only time nakamura has showed me he can be a huge star was the zayn match, since then I havent seen that nakamura again, thoughts?
They've totally wasted him, yeah. What blows my mind is that they took the time to tease AJ v. Nakamura at Money in the Bank, well aware that people wanted to see that match, but then NEVER DELIVERED IT. I mean, how hard could it be to figure out how to use the guy? That being said, I think he was wise to get away from New Japan when he did, because he was going to be overshadowed by Okada and Omega and Naito anyway. What he really needs is a big opponent in a big situation, and what's been getting is Dolph Ziggler and Jinder Mahal. Hard to blame him for not being motivated.
