Triple H & Rock Rivalry Article

> Though the article presents nothing too new about the men, it’s ironic how Hunter was willing to bury the Rock for "leaving" in the mid 2000s and now WWE can’t seem to have a WrestleMania without major involvement from the Rock.

> I also clearly remember Hunter spending months (years?) angling to play Conan the Barbarian. Seems like Hunter is well-versed in the WWE revisionist history machine as his father-in-law is.

> Any ideas on what the current relationship between Rock/Hunter is really like? Vince obviously likes riding Rock’s coattails, but once he’s gone and Mr. & Mrs. H are in charge, will Rock’s importance to WWE history start to be de-emphasized much like Vince ignored Bruno’s contributions for decades?

I’m thinking that the Hogan comeback is getting more unlikely by the day, but we’re all rooting for ya, big guy! Couldn’t be worse than Roman Reigns is my motto.

And yeah, Hunter spent years trying for both Conan and Thor movie roles according to trade papers at the time. I do feel like Mr and Mrs Steph don’t see the same importance in Rock that Vince does. In fact in 2002 when Rock and Austin left for movies and injury respectively, HHH basically said he could step up and replace them. And we saw how that went.
