Is it safe to say now that Stephanie McMahon the worst character on WWE programming right now? I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me who wants to shove q-tips in my ears and needles in my eyes when she is on TV (or, you know, just change the channel).
The problem is not that she’s shrill or annoying, because both things worked well for Vickie Guerrero. The problem is that she’s a heel who never gets any retribution from the babyfaces or ever gets booked to look bad. And then she goes out two segments later and plays Stephanie: Brand Ambassador in breast cancer PSAs or whatever. The Authority storyline has been ongoing for nearly four years now and it’s never had a payoff of any kind! No wonder people have become sick of the product.
