Howdy Blog O’Doomers!
This is the go home show for Elimination Chamber, a PPV that has always given me a little more than what I should expect for a transitional card in between the Rumble and Wrestlemania.
Like most of you I still don’t have a clue what they are going to sell for Wrestlemania. I have a feeling Orton will win, which is fine I suppose, and he’ll face Batista and the crowd will predictably shit on it like no other. I mean New Orleans will eat all the fucking sauerkraut, applesauce and prunes known to man and take one of the most massive dumps on that match. I’m almost hoping we go that route.
Weird thing is Daniel Bryan is seeming headed towards a Wrestlemania match with Corporate Kane. As much as I don’t want to believe that’s happening…it could be happening and well that is going to be a fun sell. In my world I’d just try to put on the best matches for that card and calm down the storylines a bit since only a few are really working (Shield vs. Wyatts being one of them). When Punk was pissed, I was thinking they should have told him he’d get to have some sort of “Best in the World” match with Cena. It wouldn’t main event, but at least it’s Cena, they could have an awesome match with the natural storyline that this would end the long-running program (similar to Rock-Austin at Wrestlemania XIX).
The Wrestlemania we seem to be headed towards is:
Undertaker-??? (Brock?? Cena??)
Some Shield thing.
Maybe a return of Money in the Bank to get some other guys on the card.
I have no clue. Usually we all have an idea of something that’s going to happen at Wrestlemania by now but the confusion at the top the company and guys walking out and the fear of crowds totally ambushing the biggest card of the year have made tonight’s RAW, the PPV Sunday and next week’s RAW pretty interesting.
In other news. I saw the History of the WWE on Netflix. Blah, I liked the True Story of Wrestlemania better.
And from the board discussions:
The 80s Elizabeth vs. Duchess of Dudleyville Stacy Kiebler might truly be the war to settle the score.
John Cena really fucked over Wade Barrett…and in essence fucked over himself too because he got saddled with the Miz at Wrestlemania 27 a.k.a. the one everyone forgets happened.
Enjoy the show, come out swinging but keep it clean.
