Morning Daily News Update: June 15, 2026 – Roman Reigns Attends UFC Freedom 250

By Conor Renshaw on 15 June 2026

Good morning, everyone!

It’s Monday, and I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! But it’s back to reality, and it’s also time for the Morning Daily News Update!

We’ve also got Niz’s review of AAA from June 13

Roman Reigns, Triple H, Nick Khan & Shane McMahon In Attendance At UFC Freedom 250

Roman Reigns was among several notable WWE figures who attended UFC Freedom 250 on Saturday night, joining WWE President Nick Khan, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Shane McMahon, and Shane’s son, Declan McMahon. Reigns and Triple H were shown on the broadcast, and WWE maintained a strong presence throughout the weekend, with multiple stars appearing at pre-event fan festivities. Although Reigns was not officially advertised for those activities, reports had indicated that several WWE talents were interested in attending the historic event in an unofficial capacity.

Jack Perry Negotiating New AEW Contract

Jack Perry’s AEW contract has reportedly expired, with Bryan Alvarez reporting that the former AEW National Champion is currently negotiating a new deal with the company. While there is no word on how close the two sides are to an agreement, the update comes after months of speculation about Perry’s status. One of AEW’s original signings in 2019, Perry most recently lost the AEW National Championship to Mark Davis in May and later fell to Davis again in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
JBL Rips WWE Shareholder Lawsuit: ‘I Hope They Didn’t Get Any Money’

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has criticised the recently settled WWE shareholder lawsuit tied to the creation of TKO, saying he hopes the plaintiffs received little or no money from the agreement. Speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL described the case as an example of opportunistic litigation aimed at securing a settlement from a large company rather than pursuing legitimate claims. While acknowledging he did not know the merits of the lawsuit or the terms of the settlement, JBL said resolving the matter was a positive outcome for TKO and suggested that any payment made would likely have been a “nuisance fee” to avoid lengthy and costly legal proceedings.

AJ Styles Says Wrestlers Walked More Timid Under Vince McMahon, Now They Can Ask Questions Without Being Yelled At

AJ Styles has reflected positively on his time working under Vince McMahon, crediting the former WWE chairman for giving him opportunities while acknowledging that the backstage environment was more tightly controlled. Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles said he appreciated being able to go directly to McMahon for answers but noted that talent often seemed more hesitant to speak up during that era. He contrasted that with today’s WWE, where performers can express opinions and ask questions more freely. Styles also said WWE was heavily micromanaged under McMahon, though he stopped short of calling the experience good or bad overall, pointing out that McMahon helped him become a two-time world champion.
