I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Football is back and ESPN has a doubleheader with the Saints-Titans in the early game and Raiders-Broncos in the nightcap.

RAW will be going up against that with a show live from Madison Square Garden that will feature “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Sounds exciting. There is a big contract signing between Braun Stroman and Seth Rollins and the FOUR HORSEWOMEN EXPLODE!!!

Good luck topping that NFL..

Other stuff on TV? I will DVR “The Duece” on HBO but nothing else is must see.

Happy Labo(u)r Day for those who have enjoyed the long weekend and if you’re on the Southeastern coast in the United States please be careful as Hurricane Dorian decides to do whatever the heck it’s going to do.

RAW is live tonight and we’ve got two more weeks of programming before Clash of the Champions PPV. There have been some matches announced and I expect there will be more this week.

Luckily I didn’t watch 8 hours of wrestling Saturday. I’m a college football girl so I watched about 12 hours of that instead :). I did, however, catch the NXT UK event the next day and every accolade that’s been given to the Tyler Bate-WALTER match is well deserved. Tyler Bate is a special worker, I’ve felt that way since the first time I saw him. There are great workers and then there are talents that you have unfairly high expectations for and they just deliver each time. Tyler Bate is that kind of talent for him. I didn’t know what kind of story he and WALTER were capable of delivering and after 45 minutes of drama I found myself almost tearing up watching Dunne and Seven scrape our hero off the mat knowing he did everything in his power to win and it just wasn’t good enough. That’s wrestling at it’s finest.

As for tonight’s card. Samoa Joe-Ricochet and Cedric Alexander-Corbin make up your quarterfinal KotR matches. There’s a Bayley/Lynch vs. Bliss/Cross tag match that might be really good and Rey Mysterio and some form of Bray Wyatt are also scheduled. Oh and a contract signing between Rollins and Strowman. Those are always fun.

Baseball has been going on all day because it’s a holiday in the USA. We’ve got Notre Dame-Louisville football tonight. I might hop on HULU and watch that Harvey Weinstein documentary.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. RAW charges on as we approach Clash of the Champions and have plenty left to determine.

The second half of the RAW bracket of the King of the Ring first round is tonight. Ricochet will face Drew McIntyre in what should be a fun match and Baron Corbin will face Miz in what should not be a fun match. Oh well, can’t win them all. Sasha Banks is scheduled to work her first match since Wrestlemania.

Peyton Royce is officially off the market.

So is Finn Balor possibly.

Lots of love in the air everywhere. Yay for summer marriages.

Not a ton on tonight. U.S. Open you can watch Serena Williams try to improve her record against former drug cheat Maria Sharapova to 194812-1. There’s some baseball and lots of preseason football replays on the NFL Network. I think my husband will want to watch The Maltese Falcon on ACM since he loves the classics. Maybe I will watch it with him.

Sorry for the late post tonight. I’m currently on the West Coast and sometimes that little three-hour time difference gets lost during the day. I couldn’t even think about watching wrestling with so much sunshine outside right now!

But anyway RAW is Live tonight. It’s the first half of the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. We’ve got Cesaro vs. Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn vs. Cedric Alexander announced for tonight. And there is a Sasha Banks interview tonight.

There is a ton of other stuff (baseball, ninja warriors, etc.) on tonight so watch what makes your happy.

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Both Summerslam and NXT Takeover: Toronto seemed to be generally well received. There was a lot of nitpicking over this and that but if you liked the matched and liked the show then who cares if you thought a ****** match was really a ****1/4 match? Seriously.

Of the two shows I thought NXT really pulled a rabbit out because it wasn’t the most inspired booking but the workers came to work. Definitely gave me the sell on Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain too with their brawl. And it could be a tricky booking move but they should strike the Evil Shirai iron while it’s hot and get the belt on her. I also believe we’re heading toward a Dream vs. Cole unification match sooner than later. Going to be hard to get the strap off Dream and they need a new program for Cole and the most appealing opponent (Riddle) is currently occupied.

As for Summerslam, the main event was a hell of a fight and a great piece of business. They were able to get Rollins back on track and where they go from here is interesting. Wouldn’t be a bad time to get some new heels going and see which ones the fans will buy in as a threat. Overall I liked the card, most of the right people went over. Fans were active for some matches, not for others.

Tonight is the RAW fallout show. We know Ziggler vs. Miz has been announced, Rey vs. Andrade 2-out-of-3 falls, Cedric vs. Drew and Alexa/Nikki vs. The Kabuki Warriors are also on tap so it looks promising. We’ll see.

We got 7-8 MLB games tonight. No live preseason NFL but the NFL Network has a ton of replays.

Lot of interesting TV tonight. AMC is debuting The Terror: Infamy, which looks really interesting. HBO has two episodes of Our Boys and I think Legion (FX) is doing their series finale tonight.

Anyway there’s plenty to watch so stay home and be lazy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying a productive Monday. RAW is live tonight and it’s the go home show for Summerslam. Maybe the first real big test of the new creative regime as while last week’s show was pretty well received the numbers were down. Much of the card is decided so this is a good chance to tie up some loose ends.

As for tonight’s show. There have been a few things announced. Andrade vs. Rey Misterio might be good. There’s a 4-way match for the Women’s Tag titles. I read somewhere that Trish Stratus will be in-ring tonight but I can’t confirm that.

Roman Reigns did an interview with ESPN you can read here. Nothing too earth shattering but he goes into the issues with Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins because god knows we can’t get enough of that.

Jaws is on AMC tonight if you wanted to see a shark just destroying beach goers right and left.

Full night of baseball, only three days before NFL preseason begins, 18 days before college football begins. Patience is a virtue.

R.I.P Harley Race

The Handsome man with the big left hand has died at the age of 76. He was an 8-time World Champion according to the NWA.

https://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2019/8/1/20750622/harley-race-dies-age-76-wwe

He pretty much retired from public life a few months back as he had been dealing with an assortment of pain and had to cancel a lot of his appearances on the autograph circuit.

As for matches…There are a ton of them to choose from. There are two or three amazing matches with Ric Flair on the Network. Even his later stuff in the WWF was fine. He had an entertaining run with Hogan and there are several matches between them on the Network and they had very good chemistry.

He didn’t seem to be capable of a bad match, even later in his career when ring wear had clearly taken a toll. He had a very good, understated match with Haku at the 1989 Royal Rumble in a battle of men you would happily walk down a dark alley with and look for a fight. Even later he and Tommy Rich had a cool little throwback match to their past history at the 1990 Great American Bash.

As for promos. He wasn’t smooth, he didn’t have a lot of one liners, but damn if they weren’t believable.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! It’s another Monday night and another live episode of RAW. Apparently they are hyping some sort of Dolph Ziggler/Seth Rollins match which should surely get everyone fired up. I mean if Baron Corbin can’t move the needle why not give them Dolph Ziggler right? Sometimes I wonder how this company clears a billion dollars. On the bright side there’s actually a match for the 24/7 title which might be entertaining because R-Truth and Drake Maverick have been making chicken salad out of that gimmick for a while.

Plus there are other matches and an actual tag team match that the Usos will probably get buried in. Entertain me Paul Heyman!

As for other stuff on the Tube. I think there’s another episode of the Bachelorette…that show has fallen off a cliff for me. There are seven baseball games tonight. Maybe the Mets will make more trades.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. This is the big RAW Reunion that will several of your old favorites return and take up the time that could be used to get newer talent over! Oh well. Usually these reunion shows give us something to talk about with all the returning old guard and whether or not they’ve kept themselves in decent shape. I’m not sure of any matches scheduled because most of the hype has been around the reunion.

Lot of baseball on, not much else.

New episodes of both the Bachelorette and American Ninja Warrior tonight.

I hope everyone had an amazing summer weekend or winter weekend if you live in New Zealand or something.

Anyway, this weekend was kind of what you’d want as a wrestling fan when this thing really kicks off in the fall. All three of the major shows were pretty good, each of them had at least a couple of matches worth going out of your way to see. And if this competition means a bunch of guys will be working hard and having good matches we will all win.

So RAW tonight. This is the start of the Paul Heyman produced shows I believe. It makes sense because the champions are all heels and Heyman tends to like to book the chase better than the babyface runs. Meanwhile the New Day is champs on Smackdown which also makes sense because Bischoff tends to like to stick with the acts that sell merchandize and keep them strong. So it seems like both show bookers will get what they want to start.

A lot of baseball on tonight. I see San Francisco hung a 19 spot on Colorado this afternoon.

Groundhog Day is on Sundance tonight. If you’ve never seen it or if you’ve seen it many times I would highly recommend watching it again.

The never-ending season of The Bachelorette is still on. And American Ninja Warrior is on and there’s like Chopped and Beat Shazam and other summer TV.

Oh yeah, if you need a random great match to watch, check out the Nasty Boys vs. Bagwell/Scorpio from Halloween Havoc 1993. Easily the best Nasty Boys match that didn’t include Bret Hart or Mick Foley. Bagwell and Scorpio could really go in 1993.

Another weekend in the book. Hopefully many on the American side of the border took an extended weekend like I did and I hope it was a good one and a safe one.

It looks like RAW got a little bit of a bump thanks to Paul Heyman’s new role and apparently he was responsible for, or at least took credit for, all the parts of last week’s show that were well received. That can’t be a bad thing. How he’ll make the go home show for Extreme Rules interesting remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, we’ve got the Home Run Derby tonight where I’ll be rooting for Pete Alonso because my husband is a die-hard and very depressed Mets fan and Pete is a good kid from Tampa.

I think there’s a new Bachelorette episode and American Ninja Warrior and tons of other stuff for you to enjoy.

So let’s keep it clean!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and my Canadian friends are having a Happy NHL Free Agency Day, also known as Canada Day.

RAW is on live tonight and it appears that the next two weeks are someone lame duck weeks before the new regime takes over. All I know about these moves so far is it was serious enough for Bischoff to move from a beautiful place like Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Connecticut and there’s no way I’m leaving any place for Connecticut unless it’s serious. As for the expectations…eh? I’m excited. If they just kept it simple, let the workers work, and eliminated most of the writers it would probably be a great improvement.

Lots of baseball and NBA/NHL free agency.

Lots of regular TV stuff on too. Check your local listings.

I hope you all had a great weekend and either enjoyed yourself or got more things accomplished.

A PPV-like event happened last night. The most notable thing is that Ricochet won the U.S. title and gave us a glimmer of hope until the main event matches began and we realized that we’ll be stuck in Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans hell a little longer until the WWE realized their goal of having a PPV held at an empty arena.

On the good side, RAW is featuring A.J. Styles vs. Ricochet, which shouldn’t suck. And who knows who’ll show up on the Wild Card side besides the people that normally do like Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon and The New Day….maybe they will pull Finn Balor from exile.

Meanwhile I’ll probably watch some DVR’d stuff. My husband was cracking up over Holey Moley so I’ll check that out and catch on the first two episodes of Press Your Luck. There is Game 1 of the CWS tonight between Michigan and Vanderbilt. A new episode of the Bachelorette and the NBA Awards are at 9 p.m.

And for your viewing pleasure, the old Midnights/Horsemen program popped up in a thread which led me to find the compilation of promos that set up their historic match. Arn’s diss of Stan Lane isn’t very PC but damn it was funny.

I hope everyone is well and had a great weekend.

Believe it or not there’s ANOTHER go home show for another PPV. Which means we’ll get more Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin than we can handle. The good news is they are hyping a match between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan which probably won’t suck. The rest of the show I can’t be so confident in.

My suggestion if you have a spare 45 minutes is to watch last week’s 205 Live which featured an excellent match between Chad Gable and Jack Gallagher and a very good main event with a 4-way match between Drew Gulak, Oney Lorcan, Tozawa and Humberto Castillo. It was a great wrestling show, which proves the WWE can still do those things.

Anyway, The Bachelorette is on tonight and there’s a College World Series game between Michigan and Florida State. Also it’s Teen Tournament time on Jeopardy in case some of you need to feel smart.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to avoid watching Blood Money in the Bank and it turned out to be a big steaming pile of crap that no one liked and seemingly no one wanted to work. Oh well serves them right. I still might watch Undertaker-Goldberg at some point because I can’t look away from a car wreck.

RAW is like tonight and building toward Stomping Grounds. I’m currently not interested but that might change. You’ll probably see Ricochet/Cesaro part IV or V tonight and maybe they’ll get the tag titles off of whoever is holding them and put them on the Usos since the Usos get on TV each week.

Moving on. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is on Sundance tonight. I was going to suffer through the Mets-Yankees game on MLB Network because my husband is a long-suffering Mets fan but luckily that game has been postponed because of rain. So I’ll probably watch “Beat Shazam” before the NBA game comes on tonight and the Raptors will try to do something the Maple Leafs will never do and bring Toronto a championship.
