Date and Time For the Next WWE: NXT Special Announced

NXT TakeOver: London will air live on the WWE Network on December 16th at 3pm EST.



Ring of Honor and TNA Viewership Numbers Released

Wednesday night’s episode of TNA Impact drew 277,000 viewers, up from the 262,000 they had last week. The midnight replay was also up to 97,000 from 81,000 viewers as well. Ring of Honor viewership was also up this week with 172,000 viewers, up from last week’s number of 141,000.



Update on Season Two of Lucha Underground

The plan for the new season is to go farther into the “supernatural” direction, with a long-term plan of creating a super babyface and monster heels to spin off for a movie(s) and recreate something like the El Santo genre. It is likely that Rey Mysterio will be in the El Santo role.

Daniel Bryan Health Update

At the moment, both Bryan and the WWE are awaiting the results of a third doctor’s opinion on whether he can return to action. WWE Head of Medical, Joseph Maroon, had ruled that due to the number of concussions Bryan has suffered, he should not wrestle again. However, Bryan got clearance to return to action from the Arizona Cardinals doctor, who stated that his brain tests as above-average for his age.

Sami Zayn Update

Zayn was recently seen at the Performance Center, doing some light training and working out. However, its been a few weeks since he has been there and he was not in the ring training for an actual match so it appears his return is not happening anytime soon.

Backstage News on the New Day and NXT Team Possibly Feuding With Them?

WWE Officials are very high on the New Day. At one point, the Dudley Boyz were scheduled to win the Tag Team Titles from them but Vince McMahon made the late decision to nix those plans and have the New Day retain. Also, there had been talk off calling up Enzo Amore & Big Cass to the main roster but that is on hold with Big Cass out of action.

TNA TV Deal Update

Regarding TNA President Dixie Carter teasing a possible reunion with TNA and Spike TV on Twitter last week, apparently there is nothing going on between the two sides. A high-level Spike TV source noted to PWInsider that they haven’t heard anything about TNA returning and another said it would be highly unlikely.TNA is reportedly still in talks with a few different networks and those networks have more viewership than Destination America currently has.

WWE Heavily Edited Crowd Noise on Last Night’s RAW

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, last’s night crowd in Manchester had many chants going during the night that ended up getting edited for TV. Live reports also stated that the crowd was loud most of the night.

Michael Elgin Update

After PWInsider reported that Elgin had re-signed with the company, Elgin told Pro Wrestling Sheet that he had not signed any deal with the company but has expressed interest to keep working there as long as he does not have to be under contract.
