Former WWE Champion Leaving the Company?

There is some internal speculation that Alberto Del Rio is unhappy and may be on his way out of the WWE this fall. Vince McMahon wanted to push him heading into the draft but it was reported that Triple H wanted to back off from a Del Rio push and that is what ended up happening. Del Rio’s contract with the WWE ends this coming October.


Simon Gotch Update

Gotch, who was pulled from the road this weekend and has not worked since getting into an altercation with Sin Cara backstage this past Tuesday before Smackdown, is not scheduled for this week’s TV tapings but expected to return the following week.


Reason Why Lillian Garcia Was Not at Battleground

Garcia was not at last night’s show as she was with her father, who is undergoing treatments for cancer.

Two Other Former WWE Superstars Returning to the Company

In addition to yesterday’s news of Curt Hawkins and Rhyno returning to the WWE, MVP and Shelton Benjamin will also be making a return to the WWE, per Teddy Long on the Gerweck Report Podcast


EVOLVE Star Signing Full-Time WWE/NXT Contract

Johnny Gargano will be leaving EVOLVE, with his final appearance September 11th in Queens, NY at EVOLVE 69.

Original Plan for the First Round in the WWE Draft

As of last week, Brock Lesnar was going to be the first overall pick in the WWE draft stemming from his victory in UFC against Mark Hunt. After that, Ambrose was going to be drafted #2 to Smackdown to put over the value of the title then Rollins would be drafted next to RAW with Cena then going to Smackdown.

WWE Signing Competitors From the Cruiserweight Classic?

It is believed that Cedric Alexander, Akira Tozawa, Gran Metalik, and Kota Ibushi have been offered contracts nd will be heading into the WWE.

Ring of Honor Talent Contract Update

It was learned that the contracts of Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, and the Young Bucks are all set to expire at the end of December. It is also known that Donovan Dijak’s contract with the company will end at the end of September.
