Brother Love claimed Lex wasn't getting the reactions needed and wasn't selling enough tickets (IN NOT EVEN TWO MONTHS SINCE HIS FACE TURN!), therefore Vince (surely seconded by Bruce and Pat who probably liked Larry Pfohl even less than Lex Luger) didn't put the title on Lex at Summeslam 93. As far as I remember Lex drew great reactions until at least Survivor Series 93 or Rumble 94 and really needed the crowning moment/next level push (hot take I know). Why is Bruce like this? Does he believe his own BS?
If he said that, then he's changing his story because it's always supposedly been that they were going to put the title on Lex at Summerslam, but then they decided to stretch it out until Wrestlemania instead and needed a way to get there.
