Shawn Michaels Reinstatement in 1993

By Scott Keith on 30 September 2018

When Jerry Lawler got suspended due to his legal issues just prior to Survivor Series '93, Shawn Michaels was added to the match with the Knights and Bret Hart's team. But if Lawler doesn't get suspended, was there always
a plan for Shawn to come back? Was the plan when Razor won Shawn's title, that Shawn would be back and they would do the ladder match at WM X?

Also Diesel starting wrestling more once Shawn got suspended, but was it always the plan from his debut in June '93 that he would be an in-ring competitor or was he just supposed to be a bodyguard and just be on the outside.

Once Shawn got suspended, the natural storyline was always going to be that he returned to regain the title he never lost, yeah. It wasn't exactly planned in advance for him to fail a steroid test, though.

And have you SEEN Kevin Nash? Of course he was always going to be a wrestler in the ring.
