Reading your article about drunk Hawk coincided with me hitting badd blood and the following Raw, when the wwf reacts to Brian Pillmans passing with some of the most awkward tv ever produced (parading a grieving widow on tv, speculating about the cause, still hinting at a storyline tie in with with Marlena etc)

I realised I’ve got months of questionable storylines and promotional tactics to relive coming up. Is there any one particular incident that stands out to you from the era as the absolute lowest class thing the wwf did or is it case of it was the 90s so anything went?

​Oh man, Melanie Pillman on live TV was the WORST. You could argue that Hawk was a lifelong worker who knew what he was getting into, but poor Melanie got dragged on the show when she was still incoherent with grief and could barely function. ​
