Dead WM Main Events: A bug or a feature?

By Scott Keith on 11 April 2018

Hey Scott,

I know that it's hard to separate the crowd's apathy for Reigns, but at the end of the day, is it just impossible to have a hot main event after a 7-hour show? I only started watching at the 2-Hour mark and I was drained for Nakamura/Styles. How is a crowd, holed up together in that environment, supposed to keep their energy up for that long?

As Bryan Alvarez was pointing out from being live in the building, the entire stadium was full for the ARMBAR, which meant that the entire crowd was burned out by the end of the show as opposed to 50-60% when they all file in slowly for the pre-show other years. And yeah, I just don't see how a crowd can stay interested for that long. It's just too much wrestling. That being said, the crowd actively hated that main event, and it wasn't even that they were bored or burned out.
