Match length

By Scott Keith on 31 May 2016

What would you consider to be the ideal length for a great wrestling match, 4 star or better. For the most part i prefer shorter than longer. Never liked the sixty minute draw. Thoughts?

For me, 15:00 is too short for a great main event match, but 30:00 is too long, so 20:00 – 25:00 is just about perfect. 10:00 of back-and-forth and shine for the babyface, 5:00 – 10:00 of heat for the heel, and then 5:00 of big finish is pretty much the ideal layout of a top level WWE style main event. For me, the only 60:00 draw I’ve ever really dug was Flair v. Windham in 87.
