This is an interview with Eric Bischoff from early 2001 when the Fusient Media deal to buy WCW was still in play. Just thought it was pretty interesting in hindsight.

​Yeah, but really Bischoff was like every other guy who tried with WCW, where afterwards they’re like "Oh man, if I had complete control and I wasn’t tied up by TBS politics I’d do so-and-so…" but ultimately Bischoff pretty much WAS in that position in 96/97 with nearly autonomous power and he got so wrapped up in his own shit that it sunk the company. I just don’t think he had a vision that was going to work by then. ​
