I started watching Survivor Series ’87, noting that there was an eight month gap between PPV’s and no context in relation to the various feuds and angles. For instance, Paul Orndorff was face again and teaming with Hogan; Muraco was also a face with Superstar Billy Graham in his corner; Ken Patera was back; Bam Bam Bigelow had debuted; Randy Savage was a face; Rick Martel & Tito Santana had formed a team; The Islanders were in the Heenan Family. Eight months is a long time in the wrestling world. Survivor Series ’87 itself as a stand alone show is pretty good, however. The tag team version is probably a **** match with surprising survivors.
